It was almost exactly one year ago today, on September 12th, 2014, that I wrote for the first time about Shemitah. It was an article entitled, “God Has Chosen An Exact Date For The Dollar Collapse – Harbingers and the Shemitah“.
It talked about Jonathan Cahn’s best-selling book, The Harbinger. Cahn was the first person to discover the significance of Shemitah dates in relation to major world events, collapses of empires, and market collapses.
I have always been curious about what exactly happened on September 11th, 2001. Clearly what the official story says is not even physically possible and there is a trail of evidence that concludes that the difference between what we were told is going on and what really is going on is absolutely enormous!
In The Harbinger, Cahn had linked the events on or around 9/11 to specific biblical prophecy.
At the time I read it I was a resolute agnostic. Meaning that I didn’t know what was real when it came to how we are here on this Earth and didn’t believe any particular thing outright.
In that article I wrote, however, I made this statement:
Now, I am not saying that, for sure, a massive financial and economic collapse will happen on September 13, 2015 nor that it is pre-ordained that it will happen during the Shemitah year from September 25th of this year until then… but what I am saying is that this is interesting information that should not be totally ignored completely.
Those who follow these secret societies know that they are heavily into things like numerology and symbolism and Lagarde may have just been giving a hint to us of their plans. Or, who knows, maybe there is some supernatural being that is making these things happen. You certainly can’t disprove it with facts.
What I can say is that based on this and a lot more information I have been discovering I am re-reading the bible and delving further into ancient events than I ever have prior.
Fast forward to a year later and after a lot of research I can say that I now, 100%, believe in God. Of course, I’ve written a book, Shemitah Trends (that you can get here for free), that states clearly that part of what occurs on and around Shemitah is man-made. But there are just too many inexplicable events that I have seen, a lot of it revolving around my investigation into Shemitah that has made me a believer.
This has all happened in the last few months. Even at the time when I made our viral video, Shemitah Exposed, I was still very much on the fence. But there are some elements that simply do not yield to rational explanation.
As example, the hurricane that hit London and closed the London Stock Exchange during Shemitah and Black Monday in 1987. I included it in the video even though it is very hard to explain the timing. (I am aware of covert government operations to control the weather, but I don’t think they had the technology or the ability to actually create a hurricane and have it hit London on that exact weekend at that time… or even now.)
Or how, on the last day of the Shemitah in 2008 the Dow fell exactly 777 points. The Dow is an amalgamation/index of numerous multi-billion dollar stocks… the planning to have each of those stocks close the day at exact prices to make it close at 777 would be very difficult if not impossible. Not to mention the opening bell didn’t ring that day – although that could easily have been a man-made event… or even just a strange coincidence.
9/11
Today is the 14th anniversary of 9/11 and seems as good a time as any to talk a bit more about the strange events that Cahn outlined in the Harbinger.

I struggled to think how all of the events predicted in the Bible could have been deliberately planned by an occult elite. I was worried about being attacked as well. Even just for basing some of my financial analysis on an ancient Hebrew calendar I was being called a “crazy religious nut”.
I’m quite aware that believing in God (or the Bible) is not a rational act. I’m well aware that there are many – including people I respect – who believe modern Western religion is a collection of dubious magic myths, that the modern Bible has been carefully chosen to provide support for certain power centers. I am cognizant of the difference between religion and spirituality. I am aware that the Disciple Paul may have been a Roman agent and that his vast contribution to the Bible was interpolated with ulterior motives.
But I defy anyone to read the Sermon on the Mount and scoff. It was written down thousands of years ago but its sentiments are anarchic and libertarian in the best sense. In fact, there is emergent evidence that Islam, Buddhism and Catholicism all were linked originally, much as civilization itself is said to have been generated from one distinct source and locale.
I know all the arguments against the Bible and against religion generally… and still I choose to believe. Please understand it is not a naive act. And again, please be aware I am fully versed in the differences between religion and spirituality.
In the last few weeks I sought out Jonathan Cahn to interview him about the Shemitah and was surprised when I got a quick reply from the best-selling author who told me he knew my work and liked it.
Strangely we developed immediately almost a good friendship just via email and then late last night I was in bed watching a video of an interview with Jonathan Cahn when he said “Watch the new World Trade Center tower, there is something to that.”
Being a constant researcher I paused the video and googled “New World Trade Center tower” and the first thing I saw was that just a few hours before a giant rainbow appeared above New York City and it was caught from numerous angles landing directly on the WTC site! On the eve of 9/11!
I was so surprised that I was watching Jonathan Cahn talk about “watching the World Trade Center” when this happened that I had to email him.
Much to my surprise, at 2am his time, he responded in seconds and did not know about it!
I asked him if it meant anything to him and he responded:
One of the signs before national judgment is the act of desecration – Around Ezekiel 8, the prophet is taken into the Temple to see it desecrated, then God tells him of the judgment to come – In Daniel 9, they take the sacred vessels, the cups, from the Temple and use it for partying to the gods of Babylon. Then the handwriting appears on the wall and pronounces the judgment. Desecration is to take the sacred things of God and turned them against the purposes for which they were made, from holy to unholy, against God.
The act of desecration precedes judgment. Marriage is another sacred vessel of God. To take that sacred vessel and turn it against the purpose for which it was created is an act of desecration. America fulfilled that act two months ago when it struck down the biblical definition of marriage, and turned the vessel against the purpose for which it was created – the act of desecration.
Then it celebrated the desecration using the sign of the rainbow. But the rainbow doesn’t belong to a movement of man. The rainbow belongs to God. It’s a sacred vessel that He gave. So now it becomes a double desecration, taking the sacred sign of the rainbow and using it against its purpose to celebrate the first desecration.
Then Obama orders the White House, the highest house of the land to be lit up in the colors of the rainbow. So now the White House – representing America, becomes a vessel of desecration – triple desecration.
And then the Tower. The Fourth Harbinger in the book – the object of defiance – America’s tower of Babel – It’s spire is lit up in the colors of the rainbow to celebrate the desecration – the highest desecration on earth.
And now the real rainbow, belonging to God has touched the tower – of defiance – on the day before 9/11 – on the first 9/11 since the first 9/11 that it stands complete
The sign of the rainbow embodies the covenant of God and man – To desecrate it, is to the break the covenant.
The sign of the rainbow also has to do with judgment and mercy. To desecrate it, is to reject the mercy of God concerning judgment.

CONCLUSION
Of course, it could have just been a rainbow and nothing more. But over and over again, I run into inexplicable phenomena surrounding 9/11, Shemitah and other events I’ve studied. It really makes you wonder! And, my own personal intertwinement with the concept of the Shemitah and quickly becoming friends with the author to the point where he sends me his biblical analysis within minutes of a new event in the middle of the night.
Nearly a year to the day since I first posted on the Shemitah as an agnostic I am now “Mr. Shemitah” on the ‘net – with thousands of new subscribers. My daughter even calls me Papa Shemitah because I say the word so much. And a new believer in God as well.
Jonathan Cahn even spoke about how he felt he didn’t write his two books, The Harbinger and The Mystery Of The Shemitah. He said it just flowed out of him like he was a vessel. Interestingly, I felt that way about many things while researching and producing my works on the Shemitah.
I have always been open to changing my mind on issues if I see new evidence that I find convincing. And this just another case.
I fear not the comments, again, that I am some religious nut. I say what I think is true and what I believe to be true, based on evidence, and will continue to do without fear of reprisal.
I would say that to those who are spiritual you should be watching these events with keen interest. For those who are not and don’t even want to consider the thought that maybe we didn’t just come from a big explosion, out of nothing, and somehow it ended up with this beautiful blue/green Earth and all the life forms on it… there is absolutely nothing I can tell you.
My work in researching the economic and socio-political implications of this bizarrely correct 7 year Shemitah cycle had just been based on facts/evidence to this day but the possibility that there is a God and that it was written thousands of years ago and that what is happening in the US now is related to it is now also something I am considering.
If you read Cahn’s two books, The Harbinger and The Mystery of the Shemitah I think you’d be hard pressed to argue against much of his conclusions.
I’ve always known there is a lot more to know than we know. But, my discovery of the Shemitah has led me down a path I never thought I would go.
And so from here on in not only will I be watching the evidence I uncover here on Earth but also looking for evidence of God’s handprint on all of this. Jeff Berwick
