Warning that the very foundation of the free internet is under severe threat, Drudge detailed a conversation he had with a Supreme Court Justice about coming copyright legislation that should send shock-waves throughout the independent media.
“I had a Supreme Court Justice tell me it’s over for me,” Drudge told Jones. They’ve got the votes now to enforce copyright law, you’re out of there. They’re going to make it so you can’t even use headlines.”
Drudge added, “To have a Supreme Court Justice say to me it’s over, they’ve got the votes, which means time is limited.”
The online media pioneer also detailed his disdain for social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter, noting that he doesn’t use Facebook and the seldom used Twitter account he has is a little bit “disgusting.”
“I have a very clear perception of what the internet is…. I’m not defined by what they say the internet is, meaning Goldman Sachs, meaning who they invest in for latest startup,” Drudge noted. “Theres a lot of corporate makeover of the internet that I have not adapted too.”
“I have remained completely independent from all of them. I am not influenced by any of them, I need no traffic from Google, I don’t care if I get one traffic referral from Google or Bing or Yahoo or any of these others, it’s always been that way.”
Making the point that he doesn’t need “likes” or people to love him the interview then moves into present day mainstream media coverups involving Hillary Clinton before detailing the new push for copyright laws and what it will do to the alternative media.
All in all it’s a must hear, not only for the key information but also for the fact that you just know the mainstream media talking heads are freaking out over Drudge’s appearance on a so-called “conspiracy theorist” radio show.
