U.S. government strategy: when in doubt, delete and lie

Its been a while since weve discussed ObamaCare in this space, so I thought it was time to get caught up. Needless to say, theres nothing positive to tell you about a law that we knew a long time ago was a train wreck waiting to happen. Its been even worse than expected, although polls are now showing that close to one-half of the people have learned to accept it. Im sure many Germans learned to accept Hitler after a while, too.
Anyway, apparently the ObamaCare folks have been getting their tips on lying and deceiving from Obamas Internal Revenue Service. Marilyn Tavenner, the woman in charge of Medicare & Medicaid Services for the ObamaCare program, is saying that some of her emails that investigators are looking for may not be retrievable.
Dan Issa, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman, has had to deal with these same types of deceptions from IRS officials recently, and hes getting sick and tired of it.
When he was told about this latest batch of deleted emails by the Department of Health and Human Services, he said that it defies logic that multiple Obama Administration officials are ignoring federal rules on records-keeping.
Yet again, he said, we discover that this administration will not be forthright with the American people unless cornered.
Heres another thing about ObamaCare. It was originally estimated that approximately 6 million people would have to pay a penalty in 2016 for not buying health insurance coverage. But now the Congressional Budget Office and the Joint Committee on Taxation are saying that only 4 million people will pay that fine.
Heres why thats not good news. The money from the fines that was expected to come in from those 2 million people will now be paid by us taxpayers. The insurance companies are also upset because many of the people who are not purchasing insurance coverage are young and healthy.
This group of people are the ones that insurance companies make most of their profits from because these younger people file fewer claims. Older people, who have more claims, cost the insurance companies money. Of course, those companies will pass this along to us in the form of higher payments.
Remember when Obama promised us that insurance rates would drop by approximately $2,500 per year per family of four? Thats turning out to be a very sick joke.
Do you have an ObamaCare horror story? Feel free to share it with me.
