Full-Blown Tyranny in America Approaches by Stephen Lendman
Post-9/11, Bush administration and congressional neocons took full advantage, declaring war on humanity at home and abroad - turning America into a police state.
Republican and Democrat presidential aspirants support escalated war on terrorism - code language for greater homeland and foreign wars on humanity, including against remaining fundamental freedoms, disappearing in plain sight, perhaps entirely gone no matter who succeeds Obama in January 2017.
Maybe before he leaves office, Americans mindless about the real threats they face - not from ISIS, from their own government, lunatics in charge, fast-tracking toward full-blown tyranny on the phony pretext of protecting national security.
Measures they’re promoting should scare everyone. Trump wants a database created to track all Muslims. Maybe if elected president he’ll mandate they wear a badge IDing them the way Nazis forced Jews to wear yellow stars.
He urges mosques be surveilled and Syrian refugees tracked. “We have no idea who these people are,” he ranted on ABC’s This Week on Sunday.
“When the Syrian refugees are going to start pouring into this country, we don’t know if they’re ISIS. We don’t know if it’s a Trojan horse. And I definitely want a database and other checks and balances. We want to go with watch lists. We want to go with databases.”
“When I look at the migration and the lines and I see all strong, very powerful looking men, they’re men, and I see very few women. I see very few children. There’s something strange going on.”
He wants terrorist suspects “waterboard(ed),” maybe tortured in other ways, saying it’s “peanuts compared to what they do to us.” He outrageously claimed he saw “thousands and thousands of people” in New Jersey cheering on 9/11 - areas “where you have large Arab populations.”
Ben Carson calls desperate refugees fleeing imperial wars “rabid dogs.” Like Trump, he wants a database created for tracking everyone entering America - everyone on it automatically branded with the mark of Cain.
“I favor doing whatever we need to do to protect the American people,” he blustered. Perhaps he means regardless of international, constitutional and US statute laws. For sure he means protecting only the privileged few. Longstanding US policy mistreats most others, especially Blacks, Latinos and Muslims.
Ohio Governor/Republican presidential aspirant John Kasich said he’ll establish an agency, mandating what he calls the promotion of “Judeo-Christian values” blasting them to China, Russia, Iran, and other Middle East countries to counter “Islamic propaganda” he left undefined.
Addressing the National Press Club last week, he said America is “failing to advance our values in the battle of ideas…We need to beam messages around the world,” he said later.
America spends hundreds of millions of dollars annually spreading propaganda worldwide - through the Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, Radio and TV Marti aimed at Cuba, and Middle East Broadcasting Networks.
Plus corporate media along with so-called public broadcasting and radio blasting US propaganda to Americans and overseas readers and viewers. Kasich wanting Judeo-Christian values promoted implies he believes Islam represents violence fostering terrorism - opposite of what it stands for and teaches.
A previous article explained neocon Republicans want Syria invaded. Senator Lindsey Graham urges a US-led ground invasion, saying otherwise “they’re going to hit us here at home. (It’s almost) 100 percent certain.”
Senator Marco Rubio wants US ground forces invading Syria “the sooner the better.” Senator Ted Cruz said terrorists will strike America without aggressive action to prevent it.
Jeb Bush urges US forces “leading a global coalition to take out ISIS with overwhelming force…in the air and on the ground.”
Hillary Clinton wants endless wars of aggression - America leading “a worldwide fight…intensif(ing) and broaden(ing) our” war on humanity - including establishing no-fly and safe ground zones in Syria, a flagrant act of war if implemented.
She wants Assad ousted like all other aspirants, including Bernie Sanders, perhaps the biggest con man contesting for the nation’s highest office.
A previous article explained he doesn’t believe one NATO killing machine is enough. He wants a second one - “work(ing) with our NATO partners…includ(ing) Russia and (rogue) Arab League” states, collaborating against the terrorist scourge America created and continues supporting.
What he really means without saying is he supports US proxy forces currently ravaging Syria and Iraq, mindless of the horrors inflicted.
All US presidential aspirants support what demands universal opposition - potential global war combined with full-blown homeland tyranny, where America is heading without major efforts to stop it.
