(THIS IS A CRUCIALLY IMPORTANT ARTICLE SUNDERING LIGHT FROM DARKNESS ON DIALECTICS! Buzzword studies, sorting the hate-terms from the truth, nailing all the left's trickery and mind-messing, this is our task front and center. READ -- ENJOY -- GROK -- REDEPLOY -- PLEASE! NN)

Sophistry is part and parcel to the Left. Leftists make discussions of certain topics socially costly and then pretend to misinterpret what you mean when you use a euphemism for an un-PC concept. Multiculturalism is a good example.

“Multiculturalism” is really a euphemism for multiracialism. People use the term Multiculturalism because speaking about race and racial differences and the idea of different racial groups as not having totally aligned interests are all verboten topics. That is not to say that actual multiculturalism (read: White countries with multiple White linguocultural groups) does not present some problems: Anglophone Canada’s tension with French-speaking Quebec, Spain’s experience with Basque separatist terrorism, and Scotland’s recent flirtation with secession from the UK all come to mind. But this is not what most people mean when they speak out against “multiculturalism”, especially in light of Europe’s ongoing ghettoization by Islamic hordes. Multiculturalism puts assimilation-resistant Bavarians on the same plane of evil as Arab Muslims targeting white women for rape and sexual slavery. It certainly is not what you mean—so why not speak in a way that clarifies, rather than obscures, the issue? In other words, learn to use better framing.

What is framing? Framing is choosing one’s language to define the parameters of debate. Frames can do much more than just curate political discourse; they also play a role in cognition. Frames can influence the outcome of a political contest by limiting what vocabulary and metaphor may be used. Words are the scaffolding of thought, so if you can determine what words can or cannot be used, you can influence the thoughts and emotional responses people will have. Research shows that if you use the right frame, you can radically alter your subject’s response, making them more amenable to your views. The Left has long understood the importance of framing: “undocumented Americans” rather than illegal immigrants, “DREAMer” rather than anchor baby, “marriage equality” vs. gay marriage, etc. This is a big part of why they have been so successful recently.

What ends up happening when you use the wrong frame is that you end up playing into the leftist’s (rubbing) hands, and some of the cleverer ones will take advantage of this and try to dance around your real argument. For example, argue that multiculturalism never works, and a leftist may bring up a country like Switzerland and try to claim that as a successful example of multiculturalism and therefore flooding Europe with Muslims is no big deal goy :^). Instead of engaging in good faith with what you are trying to say, they will take what you said, interpret it literally, almost like an autist, and argue against that premise instead, rather than engage with the implied message. This has the effect of muddying the waters for any unconverted onlookers, who may not be aware of what the true issue is that the term multiculturalism speaks to (race), and may find this sort of glibness sufficient to quiet any cognitive dissonance they may have been experiencing. It also has the effect of tiring you out by forcing you to respond to red herrings. If you are arguing with a liberal you need to stop saying the former and start saying the latter so as to draw the liberals out of their sophistic word games and force them to fight you on your ground. Falling into their trap can be avoided with good framing...............

Just saw a good example of this 2 minutes ago over at freedomsphoenix.com: Obama's press secretary is calling the ability of a citizen whom fedgov has put on its no-fly list to legally buy a gun the "No-Fly/No-Buy Loophole". Obama said if you are on his no-fly list you are "too dangerous by definition to buy a gun". His definition, naturally. I'll hate them all with you, NN.

Gun "buy-back" programs conducted by gov agencies are another good example. The only person who can buy back a gun from you is the guy who sold it to you. My 5 year old granddaughter understands that.

Who has more examples of psy-op speech? Post 'em, please. I collect 'em.

Right! Applying logic to the demented baby-talk they use and get us to is the beginning of a return to sanity in a way. "Buy-back", my asterisk.

We are laboring under the burden of very real newspeak. When people aren't using the devil's very buzterms they're mouthing the evil, dastardly clichés the politicians have spoon-fed them like "nuclear family" and "sexually transmitted disease". Gliberals know how horrible feticide is deep down so to get around the word they'll press the lying term "pro-choice" into service as a noun or whatever.

Gliberals ARE PRO-FETICIDE, or as they'd mistakenly put it under truth serum "PRO- ABORTION". They LOVE the killing of babies and want lots and lots of it. With ladies, part of their Oedipal neurosis.

Ya got me going, speshly since it's so slow around here anymore. ("Anymore" -- a wrongism I believe we should rightize. "Ain't?")

It's pretty easy, isn't it?

The police state has brought us an armored personnel carrier full of 'em: schools have "resource officers"; they go on "lock-down" if Billy tells Bobby about the BB gun he got for his birthday.

Whole cities get the lock-down if a "terrorist" is about. The more fortunate communities get to "shelter in place".

Illegal immigrants are "undocumented". Your neighbor lost his job to a "guest worker". (But the spic who raped his daughter is never called a "guest rapist".)

That's all before my morning libostimulant...

"RESOURCE OFFICERS"! The slickest glibbety since "EXTRAORDINARY RENDITION" meaning blithe reinstatement of BILLS OF ATTAINDER or simply turning people into DESAPARECIDOS like in 1970s South America.

The more heinous the tyranny, the more vaguely benign the buzz concocted to cover it..... you and I are the only ones jamming on this. Brawling seems to be what the silent majority around here really wants to watch, and there are people happy to give it to them.

Medical insurance used to be called "medical insurance". Now it's called "health care insurance" or "health care coverage". And you buy it in the government-mandated "Marketplace". With a capital M -- registered trademark of the government of the USSA.

"Safe space"

"Microagression"

"Free speech zone"

As a euro-aside, I actually read that Fräulein is considered disrespectful now in Jewmany? And that the francofembos moved the Council of State to purge "Mademoiselle" from all official frogdocs?

Health "CARE" gets that all-important touchy-feely "CARE" word in there. The less actual caring there is, the more you here this inane C-word.

They rip insurance totally our of the marketplace and call it the Marketplace. They kill the dollar and call the resulting rolling papers dollars. (The latest designs look like they've spent a week in a mud puddle.)

They make a desert, and call it peace.

My wife and I used to play Scrabble a lot. She's a hoot. She memorized all the obscure Q words that don't require a U. But if I use a word she doesn't know, she wants to disallow it on various grounds. She got to beating me so consistently that I almost despaired of ever winning again. Then suddenly, like a woman is wont to do, she up and changed her mind about liking to play. So we haven't played for a while. Maybe I can get her to play me again with half her brain tied behind her back? Or after 3 cups of the Boss's egg nog?

Or just change your name to Dagwood?

I didn't say that :-o I'm playing Scrabble right now via isc.ro live with another person. The PERFECT solution. Oh -- that compatriot you don't dislike anymore and his girl play another couple every Friday nite.
