With the exception of Washington's Birthday and Christmas, not a one of these holidays celebrates a single individual

Truly a stupid holiday; but if there must be one, switch it to a better time of year like maybe around Columbus Day (best weather of the year in NYC).
Francis was wrong about no other holiday than Xmas and Washington's Birthday (now renamed) honoring an individual. Old Christopher is now in the dog house, so there should be no problem in renaming October 12 to something else.
