Day by Day reminds me of Young Life (a youth ministry) meetings I used to attend in HS. It's one of the songs we sang. I had forgotten about it. :)

I have a funny story about that song. on time my wife and I went to mass in new Orleans. I was shocked because it was all black folks. I'd NEVER in my life seen a Catholic church full of black people. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying theres anything wrong with that, it was just shocking because where I come from hardly any blacks are catholic, lol, anyway, so this red faced white haired priest, after the Gospel begins his homily not by speaking, but by singing that song. really dramatic,

'DAY BY DAAAAAAAY.... (LONG pause)

DAY BY DAAAAAAY

oh dear lord three things I pray.. etc

it was really something else. LOL. Then he related the song to that days gospel reading, and concluded the sermon with the same song, acapello,. then I had to download it from youtube, lol!

that was one of the songs that my older sis sang in the church quoir in the 70s, when they first started having guitars, tamborines and drums in church,.

one day we were driving somewhere and she actually had a cd with this song. we did a karaoke to it while driving,. I would love to post it, its hilarious, but I am not sure if she wants to be associated with my youtube channel LOL!

she is great. you'd like her. she once successfully single-handedly sued some banksters (without a lawyer) who tried to cheat her and her hubby on a re-fi.

I don't know if ive ever told you about REAL PLAYER (real.com) its a great free tool that allows you to download videos and save them to your real player library. it also allows conversion of those videos to mp3 format. i've used it for years and it is a lot of fun.

I recently had a sony go gear mp3 player die on me ; I had most of the music backed up, but the ones I didn't, I downloaded again., and more. it is a lot of fun. I only listen to music or talk shows while driving. I got so much great stuff now I don't think I'm gonna listen to talk shows for weeks!

:-)

real player also allows you to watch your videos offline and you have them in case they ever disappear from the web.

Is that Ronald Reagan in the sound booth?

The guy doesn't do a thing until the last 5 seconds when he moves his head.

that actually sounds sort of like a truck driver. and for each minute of a song you listen to, you make about a buck., if you play your cards right. :-) truckers are hard working folks but actually its a damn easy job, easy money, especially in this sinking ship we call America. but the turnover rate in the industry is over 100%. People can simply not hack it.

Thanks, Artisan.

Got the day off because of all the rain in Houston. With time on my hands, just happened to be looking for a video / audio download tool.

I will give this a crack!

cool, I hadn't heard about the rain. I'm actually headed to TX now. Houston is the home of my good friend - this guy, I visit him whenever I have time in H town.

maybe some time you can join us.

last time we went out for a great steak dinner. Thankfully we did not run into any of the bushes, LOL!

January 6, 2010 - As if a restaurant's shrine to a mass murderer and featured menu items in the name of the diabolical traitor to America weren't enough, George Bush Sr. himself arrived when I was eating lunch with friends. Although I'm aware of many of his countless crimes against humanity, my mind went blank when it came to speaking out. It's a wonderful thought for me to imagine these killers being scolded each and every time they appear in public.

Thrilling, simply thrilling, to see somebody speak truth DIRECTLY to power. I would never patronize any business that's a shrine to a mass-murdering "SO-CALLED MAN" as this hero puts it.

Barbara is contemptible too. I hate her guts. What's taking the old bitch so long? She was ugly as hell 30 years ago, and has NOT improved.

Was released in December 1964. Their harmonies and Judy's voice touched me in a very special way back then.
