Dear God.

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken

Mattel Tommy Burst TV commercial 1960s!

==============================

I remember that tommygun commercial (in B&W vivid).

Man, I wanted one of those bad!

I had tons o' guns though. Quite a few 'real ones' by the time I was ten.

That was back when Combat, Gunmsoke, The Riflemen, Secret Agent Man kids were having lots of politically incorrect fun ..

Yeah, we had to go back to the 60's to relive that one.

We had great childhoods!

When I was eleven, my dad told me son, I can buy you any toy you want, but guess what? You are going to buy them yourself, and that way you will appreciate them and take care of them. Dad proceeded to take me to the back yard and introduce me to my money. It was a lawnmower. Dad supplied the gas and oil, and I began my career. I never wanted for anything after that. I even started buying my own clothes at 12. ;>)

I know you remember The Man From Uncle ..

I used to watch the Man from U.N.C.L.E. every Saturday night.

Ever see the new Man from U.N.C.L.E movie? It's loosely based on the series..
