I think I saw demons dancing on this song.

BTW, Steve McQueen dropped acid regularly.

Mississippi Queen by Mountain, now that's an oldie, one of my favorites back in the day.

You've GOT to check this one out, it's Deep Purple playing in front of a TV audience. It's absolutely amazing, in my eyes at least..

Yeah, those deep, heavy protest songs were everywhere back then.

At least they weren't burning down whole city blocks back then with 'the peace movement' going on at the same time.

Dark times. Lady Byrd Johnson was making lots of money on that 'lead' ricocheting over in S.E. Asia.

The more things change, the more they stay the same?

Seems that way.

When was the last time the US wasn't at war?

Sometime back in 1990 I was marveling at how we weren't attacking anybody. Then seemingly within minutes, "Poppy" Bush was shrieking in that horribly effeminate voice of his that something or other was going on in Kuwait and amerika had to get wrapped around it -- and I knew deep down they would soon have us in a state of permanent, total war. ("We gotta GET SadDAM HusSEIN -- OUTta there!")

"Desert Shield" morphed into "Desert Storm". Dr. Fields called it Desert Slaughter -- rightly, I'm sure. It's been downhill ever since, no small thanks to Monica Jewinski
