MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Aerospace Forces managed to practically stop deliveries of smuggled oil from Syria to Turkey, Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad told Sputnik. "I can say that Russian Aerospace Forces managed to stop deliveries of smuggled oil from Syria to Turkey almost entirely. All the tanks where oil was stored have been destroyed as well," Haddad said in an interview.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier that there was plenty of evidence pointing out at Turkey setting up a large network to supply Daesh terrorists operating in Syria.
The Daesh is a terrorist organization outlawed in Russia and numerous others countries.
