Putin once casually said over dinner that he could destroy America in a half-hour — or less

by Amanda Macias

putinReuters

In December 2011, Vladimir Putin, then Russia's prime minister, was positioned to reclaim his role as Russia's president in the March 2012 elections.

Fittingly, he hosted a lavish banquet at New Century, Moscow's richest equestrian club, for members of the Valdai Club and distinguished academics and journalists from around the world.

"The fare was extravagant: smoked trout, duck liver, venison soup, rhubarb sorbet, veal cheeks, and pear soup with caramel," according to Douglas E. Schoen and Melik Kaylan, authors of the book "The Russia-China Axis."

Putin addressed his guests on topics ranging from the "Russian government's loss of public trust to his own indispensable leadership."

He later directed his focus on the US and addressed the Americans in attendance.

"You ask me whether we are going to change," he said. "The ball is in your court. Will you change?"

He went on to express his disapproval of US plans to build a missile-defense system that he believed would pose a deliberate threat to Russia's national security.

Putin then added that the only reason the US had any interest in relations with Moscow was that Russia was the only country that could "destroy America in half an hour or less."

Schoen and Kaylan conclude: "It would be difficult to find a statement more revealing about Putin's true position regarding the United States."

More BS From a Rothschild associate. The Rothschilds owned Reuters in 2001 when they told the BBC that WTC 7 had collapsed half an hour before it did.

In this case all Putin was saying was that the US is the aggressor by placing missiles closer to Russia to give them a First Strike capability. It is the Obama admin that is insane. The Russians have better and faster missiles than the US. America allows the Jews to steal everything out of the DOD so our weapons don't work.

Destroy America?????

Think....Why does the US have so many bases scattered all over the world?????????

Might there just be a strategy in their purpose?????

Putin is well aware of that. Grand standing for the gullible American public.

You dont live in the current reality of time. You seem stuck in the 1960s mentality.

Why would the russian leader give two shits about the american public? Putin serves russia, not america.

You statement would of at least sounded logical if you said he was grand standing for the russian public... but you didnt....

If my math is correct, I see the word YOU five times.

Because the word YOU is most always used in an accusatory sense, good composition frowns upon its liberal usage. The olde dictionary is quite adamant about such.

Beyond that, I am stuck in a time warp physically, back to the 1930s, intellectually much farther back.

Offensive wars are not spur of the moment, over lunch, decide to begin a major world conflagration. Major wars are long in planning, most often entailing many years, with telltale signs for all to see, those that care to see.

For instance...

The Treaty of Versailles was signed ninety seven years ago yesterday, world at peace, no more wars, people of the world were happy.

The seeds of WWII were sown BEFORE the treaty was signed, geo/political forces were hard at work, no lunchtime attention getting remarks.

General Hans von Seeckt, German Chief of Staff, ALREADY HAD THE PLANS DRAWN UP, for the next invasion of France, through the Ardennes Forest, by Hitler, who was still a lowly corporal in the German Army.

At the same time, Japan had taken over many German held islands in the Pacific and started militarizing them, against Allied agreements.

All this in 1919.

In 1921, the US realized Japan would be coming South in the Pacific, so we BEGAN PREPARING BY FORTIFYING Corregidor Island. Generals Patton and Mitchell warned of such years in advance.

Putin going to war on his own???? No, if war is to be had, it will not be decided on the spur of the moment, over lunch. Geo/political forces will have been at work long ago, Putin, like Hitler, is just an actor that happened along at the right time.

Putin then added that the only reason the US had any interest in relations with Moscow was that Russia was the only country that could "destroy America in half an hour or less."

You don't need to be a weapons expert to know that Russia CAN do that if they launch their nuclear arsenal.

By submarine, aircraft, and intercontinental ballistic missile, it would be over in half an hour.

Same goes for what the US could do to Russia as well. That's why pushing the world towards nuclear war such as what the US and NATO are doing is absolutely insane.

Of course, the propaganda mill has to focus on Putin, "Putin said this, Putin did that", instead of focusing on how the US government is lying to us, the media is lying to us, and Putin is probably THE most sane person presiding over a nation capable of launching a nuclear attack.

stuck in the 1960s mentality.

When I was a kid in Chicago, there was this kids show on TV called "Ray Rayner and Friends".

One day he said, "I want all you kids to send me in a dollar." I don't know how much money he got, but they fired him for it. LOL

My Dad tried to declare bankruptcy once when I lived in Chicago. He had some bozo lawyer that screwed it up and he had to vacate. I still remember the IRS agent coming to the house. He was wearing a wool suit and cuff links. Nice work if you can get it. ;)

Putin once casually said over dinner that he could destroy America in a half-hour

Of course he can and it might happen considering the fact that our insane masters in the USA believe they can win with a first strike nuclear attack against Russia.

However, no matter how many of Russia's nukes the USA could destroy, in the best case scenario for the USA, Russia would retaliate with at least 500 to 1,000 nukes and 300 million people in the USA would die. There is no defense against hundreds of incoming nuclear missiles. There is a good chance we could destroy a single incoming missile and with luck and utilizing our entire defensive capabilities, perhaps 90 percent of dozen, but beyond that it is hopeless.

But, except in the near term, I guess it doesn't matter. There would be a lot of radiation the northern hemisphere for 1 to 4 months but after that it would be reduced to 1 part in 10,000 of the radiation after 1 hour. The southern hemisphere wouldn't be affected because it takes months to years for much of the air in the north to be mixed with the air in the south and by then the radiation is gone or reduced to less than 1 part 10,000 to 100,000.

In as little as one month, people would be moving from the southern hemisphere to homestead free land and after a couple of generations the northern hemisphere would be repopulated. In that length of time, most of us would have died from old age anyway.

And BTW BTP, the article itself refutes what the headline states.

The article declares that "Putin then added that the only reason the US had any interest in relations with Moscow was that Russia was the only country that could "destroy America in half an hour or less.""

He said RUSSIA could destroy America in half an hour or less, not him personally. When the US commits acts of aggression, do the reporters say "Obama threatens Russia with nuclear war", or do they say "NATO sends troops to Baltic States" instead?

Whether it's Putin that's Russia's president, or any other person, Russia COULD destroy America in half an hour or less, no matter WHO is their president.

The question becomes even more pertinent now that England has declared its independence from the EU and will soon have its sovereignty back.

But yep, in terms of addressing globalist propaganda, it's a thankless job that needs to be done whenever and wherever it rears its ugly head.

If you were in Korea, you are likely 15-20 years older than I am. I was born in 54. ;)
