This Double Whammy is a Silent Killer

I’ve lumped these two Unhealthy Condiments together because they’re both highly popular, they contain the same type of ingredients, and they both have the same devastating effects on your health...

They are:

That’s because not only are they loaded up with sugars from high fructose corn syrup, they’re also packed to the gills with salt (sodium).

And these two factors – excess sugar and salt in your body contribute to a condition that most experts today are calling the root of all disease: Inflammation.

To start with High Fructose Corn Syrup is hard to avoid. Here’s why: it’s sweeter than cane sugar and cheaper to produce, so it’s in everything these days… including Barbecue Sauce and Ketchup.

Now, there are two big problems with HFCS. The first is that it doesn’t require any digestion so it’s absorbed rapidly into your bloodstream and the fructose goes straight to your liver.

This infusion of fructose causes your liver to produce fats like triglycerides and cholesterol, which flood your body, coat your organs and overwork your liver (that’s why HFCS is the leading cause of “fatty liver” in America.) Ketchup

The second huge problem with HFCS stems directly from the first: the huge influx of fructose into your bloodstream triggers a massive spike in your insulin levels.

Let me take a second to tell you why inflammation is so devastating to your health, and why most experts label inflammation: the root of all disease...

Inflammation: The Root Of All Disease...

Normally, inflammation is a healthy response to an injury, or illness in your body. It’s your body’s way of protecting the hurt area so it can heal. It works like this:

Immediately the injured area swells and becomes warm as blood vessels widen and healing plasma is pumped to the site.

A substance called Fibrin is released to “seal off” the injured area with a strong protective mesh, and white blood cells move in to clear out infection and damaged tissue.

At the same time, your body releases chemicals that increase the pain sensitivity of the injured area so you won’t use it, allowing it to heal.

Once the site is healed, the white blood cells subside, the Fibrin is broken down by enzymes, the inflammation goes away and you’re back to normal. And when it happens this way - short lived and for healing - inflammation is a good thing...

Unfortunately, sometimes the inflammation response in your body can get stuck “on,” for a number of different reasons. In fact, anything from a toxic diet to poor sleep, or even too much stress can trigger a continual inflammation response throughout your body.

When this happens, Fibrin continues to build up and harden at the injured site. This causes more inflammation and severe pain that won’t go away. The reason the Fibrin builds up is due to a lack of something called proteolytic enzymes in your body.

In fact, Proteolytic Enzymes are your first line of defense against pain and inflammation… they break down Fibrin by basically “eating it up” once an injury is healed...

But here’s the problem: it’s been discovered that after age 25, your body begins producing less and less proteolytic enzymes. That means Fibrin isn’t being broken down effectively as you age...

This may explain why you heal slower, with thicker scars as you age - you don’t have enough proteolytic enzymes to break down the scar tissue!

And here’s more scary news: too much Fibrin in your blood can thicken it, turning it to sludge in your veins. This causes high blood pressure, poor circulation, clots and many other problems.

All these issues combine to keep constant inflammation happening throughout your body, keeping your body loaded with white blood cells on the attack, which begin eroding your healthy tissue and doing massive damage to your health as your body fights to keep the proper balance it needs for wellness.
