Jamie Kirchick, writing in the Los Angeles Times, asks readers to imagine a military coup against a future President Donald Trump — and argues why one would be necessary.

Kirchick cites the example of the recent failed coup in Turkey as a source of inspiration:

Isn't there some sort of law against such a thing called sedition?

It'd be all fun and games until Trump went all Erdogan on his enemies.

I sure the military is a far bigger fan of Trump than they are of the half-breed homo.

Police and military are some of Trump's largest supporters.

What an asshat article.

until Trump went all Erdogan on his enemies

That is an invidious comparison.

Trump gave as good as he got, both from Cruz and from Rubio and the nasty army of vengeful neocons working behind the scenes to upend his candidacy.

Erdogan is a nazi. He's been jailing journalists and anyone else that raises the least public criticism of his corrupt and warlike government. He's just fired 20,000 teachers, for god sakes, just on suspicion of disloyalty.

Trump is a businessman and a small "d" democrat. He has never in his life gone near the kind of crazed autocratic excess that you're going to see out of Erdogan in the coming weeks, nor are you ever likely to.

You're so certain sounding in saying all that randge. But , how will the radical left react throughout the nation? Shit like this artcle is already mental preping/propagandizing them.

One thing I'm certain of, titorite, is the degree malevolence and paranoia that possesses these Islamic dictators.

We take them as allies to our great peril.

If nothing in the world changes, Trump wins.

His message resonates because we all know he's right.

And, truly, I think the cutesy schoozie can not cover the stench anymore.

It's a hypothetical, anyway. There're a thousand different possible scenarios that could play out in an event like that. Point is, the author should file this under "be careful what you wish for".
