The former defense secretary and CIA director was met with chants of ‘no more war’ as he extolled Hillary Clinton’s qualities to be commander-in-chief ‘No more war!’: Ex-CIA chief Leon Panetta shouted down at DNC

Democratic delegates drowned out the former defense secretary Leon Panetta with a chant of “no more war” on Wednesday night, prompting convention organisers to turn the lights out in their section of the Wells Fargo arena and the protesters to light it themselves using cellphones.

The former CIA director was on stage to show his support for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. “In this election, there is only one candidate for president who has the experience, temperament and judgment to be commander-in-chief, and that is Hillary Clinton,” he said.

Panetta credited Clinton with supporting the decision to go after Osama bin Laden – “Hillary was clear: we have to go after Bin Laden” – and said she was determined to defeat “Isis, al-Qaida, Boko Haram, al-Shabaab, terrorists who pervert the teachings of Islam to kill innocent people.”

He added: “Meanwhile, Donald Trump says he gets his foreign policy experience from watching TV and running the Miss Universe pageant. If only it were funny. It is deadly serious. Donald Trump asks our troops to commit war crimes, endorses torture, spurns allies from Europe to Asia, suggests more countries to have nuclear weapons, and praises dictators from Saddam Hussein to Vladimir Putin.”

But when Panetta referred to Trump’s call for a Russian hack on Clinton’s emails, he was interrupted by the chants, which were temporarily drowned out when Panetta said: “Donald Trump cannot become commander-in-chief.”

He added: “We cannot put an erratic finger on our nuclear weapons,” he says. “This is no time to roll the dice and gamble.” The chant changed to USA! USA!

When Panetta left the stage the DNC organisers turned the lights back on for the section that was chanting, many of whom appeared to come from Oregon.

Now isn't that interesting -- in at least 3 ways. They don't exactly show the imp being shouted down, but this is progress.

Panetta's officially Italian, but "Is Big Nose Panetta Jewish?"

AH!!!! A Jue's post there explains a hell of a lot!

Heres a jew praising a Jewish Catholic priest knowing the jew is working for the jews.

Izhaq Abranavel was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in the year 1437. Italy wasn't a nation before 1860, so statistics are very subjective and not complete. During that years, the inquisition had a lot of noyse against us, so most of our people was emigrated to France, first, than to some towns that today are in Italy, later. Most of the Jews of Spain was emigrated in South Italy during the years across 1492-1500 and another big part was in Thessalonicos (Greece) and Instanbul, Turkey.

We must talk about two different waves of Jews:

North Italy, and in particular Mantua and Venice, protected by the Venetian Republic in Venice and by the Gonzagas in Mantua. 10% of the Mantuan population was Jew. This community was safe and complete until the 1944, for the reason that you know.

The southern italian Jews was massively converted to catholics, and the ones who refused it was expelled from that places and evenctually they emigrate to northern/eastern Europe.

The number of 35,000 is right for the official census that italian ministry had in that time, but there is something wrong, because (official data) the Jew enrolled in the Italian Army during 1925-35 was more than 2,600, so, mush be something wrong.

During the war the town hall of Livorno was burned completely by a bombing, and some years after many of us (some of my ancestors as well) was recorded as "born in Livorno" also if they was born in Aegypt or in other countries. So, it is very difficult to say how many Jews are there in Italy today, if you see just the ancestor line, but in terms of religion and/or traditions and culture, we are a small community.

You can easily recognize by the surnames, anyway. Most of the Italian Jews (old ancestry) has names of towns.

Example: mine is connected with the town of Villagrossa in Mantua, some others has Venezia, Milano, Torino, and so. There are many Azchenazi Jews, and the surnames are same of europeans, like Levi, Weiss.

One of the most famous it was a catholic priest called Don Lorenzo Milani. He was son of Alice Weiss and Albano Milani, becomed priest for a series of reason. He was one of the most revolutionariest priests of that moment, a huge man.

"Most of the Italian Jews (old ancestry) has names of towns" -- how many times have I told you all to look for geographical names on these critters???

"The surname Panetta is an occupational name for a baker" -- that doesn't sound right.

Page gives Panini as a variant -- "little breads" in Italian -- and many common objects are common Jue names with variants (tree, flower, cat, etc). Panetta could be a variant or misrendering of panetto, small bread, too.

Remember 7/28/16, yawl -- 'twas the day in your life when the veil was yanked off of south European Juedom.
