A six-year-old boy has been stabbed to death in South Africa as he tried to defend his mother from a violent rapist.
Kutlwano Garesape was reportedly struck with a broken bottle as he attempted to stop the man attacking his 42-year-old mother Segomotso.
The violent murder happened as Mrs Garesape was walking Kultwano and his older brother Thabiso to school near the town of Jan Kempdorp in South Africa's Northern Cape.
