The 63 patients, ranging from age 20 to 80 – with a history of constipation – were put on a ZERO fiber diet for 2-weeks. Then they were asked to reduce their fiber intake for the remaining six months of the study. At months one and six, researchers monitored:

Symptoms of constipation Difficulty in evacuation of stools Anal bleeding Abdominal bloating Abdominal pain

THE RESULTS?

At 6 months – a whopping 65% of the patients opted to stay on the No Fiber diet – and experienced healthier bowel elimination! In fact, many reported significant improvement with bloating… straining to pass stool… and in their overall digestive health!

The 25% who remained on a reduced fiber diet also reported improvement in all categories – but not as significant as the No fiber group.

The remaining group who returned to a high fiber diet reported little improvement in their bowel and digestive health.

Based on this study, the researchers concluded:

“Idiopathic constipation and its associated symptoms can be effectively reduced by stopping or even lowering the intake of dietary fiber.” So you add more fiber…

Can keep fairly regular with lots of fruit, veggies, water and some yogurt, small protein source daily and by avoiding more than a slice of bread with meals (and drinking some liquid with meal).
