How could anyone not love this song? Why you'd have to be a commie not to dig it. Regardless of all this country's problems it is still by far the best place to live. We still have the 1st and 2A, and the fighting spirit of liberty, which is inherent in American culture and much more than ANY other country has.

I have the 45 vinyl record, bought it in 1984. the song and all the memories associated with it are very meaningful. I believe that the nation and people do indeed still exist.
no other such nation on earth, founded on the principles in the DOE and constitution, exists.
having recently returned from outside the country for 3 months, I have a renewed appreciation and love for it. happens every time!
