hilarious, outstanding vid. Now that is true friendship! I love how the dog sees his chance to break loose from the kangaroo's grip when his owner comes to the rescue. Then the kangaroo turns towards the man, who socks him in the face with a right hook. LMAO!!!! Ten star rating!!

A kangaroo is a pretty dangerous scrapper, so kudos to this man for a great punch. The roo didn't see it coming - LoL

Note the Bowie knife on the belt, and in the last ten secs he grabs for it, just in case ..

yeah I heard they can be vicious and a well placed kick from them could actually be fatal. I heard that they aim for the groin but I don't know if it's true.

very cool that his dog is named Max. lol.. That was my dogs name (Maxine). she once had a similar incident where we were jogging on the beach late at night and she came upon this huge seal on the shore. bizarre be cause in all my life going to Newport and staying there every summer I'd never seen a seal there. central Cali beaches have plenty of seals but not Newport.

so Maxine, an alph- dog scrapper, felt the need to try and kick this seals ass. LOL. she was insane, that damn thing had huge fangs and was trying to bite her by the neck. Thank God Maxine was quick because I didn't want to have to kill this seal in vengeance for killing my best friend right in front of me. I was shouting at her to get away but she was in the moment and wouldn't listen. finally after a lot of shouting and cussing at her as she cut and jab with the seal we made eye contact and I shouted "YOU M%$#&#F##^#&!!!!!! DOWN!!! lol. she finally listened and we got the hell out of there. the seal grunted and waddled back into the water.

The seal would have won.

St. Francis must have been watching over her. He had his work cut out for him. :-)

The kangaroo wasn't holding the dog very tightly because the dog was just standing there free to turn his head to look. He wasn't even trying to bite the kangaroo, and you can bet your ass he would have been doing some chewing if he felt threatened.

I have no idea what the kangaroo and the dog were doing, but they weren't fighting.

the longer version that happy posted shows the dog struggling and an aggressive roo.

The roo literally had the dog in a chokehold. It wouldn't have lasted five more minutes.

I saw neither until the guy ran right up to them. I just watched it again and saw the same. The dog and the kangaroo were just standing there until the guy ran up. In fact, the dog was looking straight ahead, most likely at the other dog running around. It was only when the guy got up close that the dog and the kangaroo started struggling.

Even then,if the dog and the kangaroo had been fighting, the dog would have surely turned and attacked the kangaroo as soon as he was free. I saw no evidence of dog and kangaroo aggression at all.

Kangaroos don't have hands and fingers. They lack the ability to be able to choke anything. The dog was obviously able to turn his head because he turned it to look at the guy running up. If he and the kangaroo had been fighting,he would have been chewing kangaroo belly.

why do you think the dog ran away like a bat out of hell as soon as his owner distracted the roo, forcing him to let his grip off the dog? and Why did the allegedly friendly roo then try to attack the man, who socked him and then pulled out his knife to defend himself?

you're right it wasn't a vicious brawl, but to claim it is all bengign is nonsense. it's just a great clip of a guy rescuing his dog,. enjoy the clip and leave it at that.

The kangaroo seems more bewildered and defensive to me than aggressive.

I strongly suspect it was a tame kangaroo. Hell, the dog didn't even struggle until the man ran up and scared them both.

People post all sorts of stuff on youtube that is a setup. I don't know why,but they do.
