Are the days of insane political correctness and wide open borders finally coming to an end in America, with the advent of Trump's presidency?
If Trump's choice for Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security gets his way, perhaps.
General John F. Kelly actually used the correct term "illegal alien" very recently, in his official capacity while testifying before the U.S. Congress! In a statement on the 'Impact of Budget Cuts,' Kelly explained that budget restraints were preventing him from properly doing his job of protecting the southern border, thus endangering the American people.
Kelly then says that the drug-running cartel is more efficient than FedEx could ever hope to be!! This guy is funny too!

I never dreamed that id be saying that I like the head of DHS, particularly since I don't even think the agency should exist. however, Gen. Kelly actually seems like a good guy. The other choice I like even more is his head of EPA Scott Pruitt. he sounds like one of us and he really gets it.

I'll wait and see if he reforms the TSA and how they treat airline passengers.....

For what it's worth, for almost a decade now the tsa has behaved very polte and professional to me every time I fly- no problem whatsoever.
Even on a recent trip when I was returning to fhe usa, there was an old very begign lady taking a photo of her friend, amd one agent told her frantically that "no pictures were allowed" and asked her to delete it. Of course this caught my attention and I couldn't help but inject, " "actually we're free to film or take photos anywhere, as outlined in your own agencies training manuals so why are you claiming otherwise?"
(As you may recall all the "we won't fly" activism and court cases a few years ago,this is all pretty well known.)
Instead of feeling challenged and defensive the guy was very slow, quiet and politely asked, "Well which mannual are you talking about?" And took some time to explain that you can indeed film the TSA s screening, but that this dept, was customs. That they were actual officers, armed, TSA arent, that this was actually a border point of entry and a secure area, they have different procedures. And he pointed out the signs that said no filming. He actually was sincere in wanting to show that he wasn't making things up. Very nice guy. He was actually trying to do his job to secure the nation, just like Gen. Kelly.
I would even dare to say that some TSA agents are trying to do the same.
As I've gotten older I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Even if we disagree on policy it doesn't mean they ard a bad or evil person. Rushing to judgment is an error, some would say a sin, and is a mistake. I'm not implying that you do this, but I observe it a lot in our crowd in these political matters. Immediate demonization and assuming the worst.
