In the San Diego Unified School District, religion isn’t welcome. Unless it’s Islam. In an incredible example of mission creep, the district has partnered with CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations, to teach children not to be Islamaphobic. Kevin Beiser, a Trustee said, “We have made sure that, through the superintendent’s recommendation, we’re going to try to do a better job so when we teach in history class about Buddhism, Judaism and Christianity, we’re also going to teach about Islam.”

Is this really the job of the school district? Or should they worry more about the fact that American students are trailing many other nations when it comes to education? This district put in place an Islamic anti-bullying program. But in the meantime they’ve had to elminate 170 district jobs due to budget concerns. Good thing they have extra money to preach at the students about Islam. And by the way, SDUSC, where’s the Jewish or Christian anti-bullying program? And why isn’t a general anti-bullying program, the likes of which is in every school across the land ad nauseum, good enough? Why do we need a special CAIR sponsored program just for Islamaphobia? CAIR is considered by the government to be an organization with terrorist ties. Does that sound like a group that should be teaching anyone about anti-bullying?

Well, one district father is fed up. And he made it known at the district meeting. Christopher Wyrick took the podium and said, “I’m a resident of San Diego. I’m a taxpayer, a father and a husband and a VERY proud American. Over the years I’ve had many titles, one of them I will not accept is Infidel! There’s been an argument over the years to keep religious beliefs out of school especially any that happen to be associated with Judaism or Christianity, so at what point did you decide that it was okay to teach my children about Islam? You’ve allowed CAIR to come into our public schools and they begin to implement pro-Islam curriculum. What’s next? Teaching them about the 5 pillars or the conversion prayer?”

As per policy he had only one minute to speak. When the minute was up, he refused to stop talking and said “I’m gonna go (keep talking,) you guys are gonna have to drag me outta here.” He ended as security began approaching, by saying, “You guys are hypocrites, you should protect your children.” A voice off camera, perhaps a school board member, perhaps not, says in return “You’re a bigot.”

This simply shows who’s running education. They are Left wing political hacks who think it’s ok to have special programs to educate students on Islamic anti-bullying, but no programs on other faiths. Mr. Wyrick had district statistics showing that Muslims account for a very small percentage of bullying incidents, whereas other faiths account for a much higher number of incidents.

Instead of common sense, a grasp of actual statistics, and listening to the valid concerns of a district parent, these folks would rather call someone a bigot and send him away. We know who the bigots are here, and it is not Mr. Wyrick. He is right to be concerned. And the San Diego Unified School district ought to be ashamed for the way they treated this parent and the way they are indoctrinating students.

In John Hawkins’ new book ‘101 Things All Young Adults Should Know’, he teaches in number 17, “If you want to know what a person really believes, watch their actions.” This board believes Islam, the religion of terrorists, is more important than any other faith. Their actions prove it. (1 image)

If religious beliefs are to be part of history teaching then atheism deserves to be included since its adherents are growing as more is learned about evolution.
