HB1911 (House Bill 1911) would put Texas in the group of 13 states that already have constitutional gun carry laws: Vermont, Montana, Alaska, Arizona, Wyoming, Arkansas, Kansas, West Virginia, Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri (2017), New Hampshire (2017), and North Dakota (2017). Today is the last day for the Calendars Committee to release the bill to be voted on this session. Remember, Texas legislature only meets every two years.
SB16 has already passed this session and is headed to Governor Abbott's desk to be signed into law. Concealed carry license will now only cost Texans $40 for 5 years and $40 for renewal.
