Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has reportedly been forced to hand over $8.1 million in jewelry to the U.S. government gifted to her by a rumored former fling after it was revealed the bling is tied to a global corruption scandal. Kerr returned multiple items given to her in 2014 by Malaysian financier Jho Low, including a pendant and a necklace, to the Department of Justice Friday, TMZ reports.

Low is currently embroiled in scandal after he allegedly stole millions from a Malaysian economic development fund, 1Malaysia Development Berhad, and used the dough to purchase gifts for not only Kerr, but Leonardo DiCaprio and the prime minister of Malaysia's wife, Rosmah Mansor, as well.

Prime Minister Najib Razak has denied any wrongdoing.

What’s going on with Leo DiCaprio returning Marlon Brando's Oscar The bling returned by Kerr last week includes a $1.29 million necklace featuring a heart-shaped diamond and her initials carved in the back, which she received from Low for Valentine's Day, and a $4.8 million pink heart diamond pendant, which boasts 8.88 carats.

Last week, DiCaprio returned an Oscar won by Marlon Brando that had been gifted to him by Razak's step-son, Riza Aziz, as a 38th birthday gift in 2013. Low also gave the actor a $3.2 million Picasso painting allegedly purchased with the stolen money, which DiCaprio intends on giving over to the U.S. government as well.

WTF?
