Source in Saudi Arabia says American private security contractors are carrying out'interrogations' on princes and billionaires arrested in crackdown Detained members of Saudi elite have been hung by their feet and beaten by interrogates, source says Among those hung upside down are Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, an investor worth at least $7 billion who is being held at Riyadh's Ritz Carlton Arrests were ordered three weeks ago by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Source claims mercenaries are from 'Blackwater', a claim also made by Lebanese president But its successor firm denies it has any operations in Saudi Arabia whatsoever and says its staff abide by U.S. law Americans who commit torture abroad can be jailed for up to 20 years

Saudi princes and billionaire businessmen arrested in a power grab earlier this month are being strung up by their feet and beaten by American private security contractors, a source in the country tells DailyMail.com.

The group of the country's most powerful figures were arrested in a crackdown ordered by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman three weeks ago as he ordered the detention of at least 11 fellow princes and hundreds of businessmen and government officials over claims of corruption.

Just last month, the Crown Prince vowed to restore 'moderate, open Islam' in the kingdom and relaxed a number of its ultra-conservative rules, including lifting a ban on women driving.

DailyMail.com can disclose that the arrests have been followed by 'interrogations' which a source said were being carried out by 'American mercenaries' brought in to work for the 32-year-old crown prince, who is now the kingdom's most powerful figure.

'They are beating them, torturing them, slapping them, insulting them. They want to break them down,' the source told DailyMail.com.

'Blackwater' has been named by DailyMail.com's source as the firm involved, and the claim of its presence in Saudi Arabia has also been made on Arabic social media, and by Lebanon's president.

The firm's successor, Academi, strongly denies even being in Saudi Arabia and says it does not engage in torture, which it is illegal for any U.S. citizen to commit anywhere in the world.

The Saudi crown prince, according to the source, has also confiscated more than $194 billion from the bank accounts and seized assets of those arrested.

Typical backwards goathumpers.

Somebody needs to tell the Crown Prince that they are hanging their enemies by the wrong end. Hang them by their necks and you have no more trouble with them.

Then again,he seems focused on stealing all their money from them, and there ain't much in the world more useless or less powerful that a Prince with no money. The BEST jobs they could hope for would be Uber Driver or Hotel Doorman and Porter because none of them know anything or have ever had an actual job.

The "Clown Prince" as they call him has been ham-handed and foolish. From Yemen to Qatar to Syria he covered himself in stupid.

But he hasn't completely taken leave of his senses. He won't ignite a blood feud.

He'll shame his adversaries, but he won't kill them.

The Muslims have been killing each other since the start, and they have also been killing idolaters for centuries. ;)

Ferchrissakes, Chirstians have been killing each other for centuries. That is neither here nor there.

MbS is walking a fine line in this regard. It is honor and shame. He will dishonor and shame selected member of the elite class.

It is actually a popular thing to do, and it may be his best move to date. Ordinary Saudis are sick of these people whom they regard as thieves. They have had it up to the gills also with the excessive public religious tyranny.

The king-in-waiting will turn these guys upside down and beat them until the shekels fall out of their pockets, but I do not think he will kill them. Too many of them are kin to him.

en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/European_wars_of_religion

The European wars of religion were a series of religious wars waged in Central, Western and Northern Europe from 1524 to 1648 following the onset of the Protestant Reformation in Europe. The conflicts ended with the Peace of Westphalia recognizing three separate Christian traditions in the Holy Roman Empire: Roman Catholicism, Lutheranism, and Calvinism, otherwise known as the Reformed tradition.

The wars were strongly influenced by the religious change of the period and the conflict and rivalry that it produced. Nevertheless, the combatants cannot be neatly categorised by religion, nor were they divided by religion alone, and in most cases religion was only a part of the causes of the wars.

Indeed the European Wars over religion were not so neatly categorized as you may think. There was much persecution also. That is the reason the Puritans came to the New World and landed at Plymouth Rock. ;)

Our Christian brothers brought homicide of their fellows up to an industrial level of efficiency.

That said, Islam was born and bred in an environment of warfare and assassinations as distinct from Christianity which had decidedly pacific beginnings.

I'm not sure I believe the story, What might be sure is that MbS is using US mercenaries to guard and torture. He wouldn't trust any Saudis to do it.
