This clip is deeply disturbing. I left northern California in 2009. I saw tent cities but nothing like this.
If this is the sheriff's deputy's clip, it is beyond disturbing. How could everything in those people's lives gone so unimaginably wrong, and is there anything that can be done to right things?
It reminds me of the cardboard shacks on the hills/mountains surrounding Mexico City that we saw in the mid '80s.
When I work for State of Illinois, we were at the Arlington Christmas party. We were playing poker. The guy at the next table had three 8's and won the pot. I look at my hand and I had three 8's too. And I won the pot. Can't beat that for sure. LOL
