Mexico opened their World Cup campaign with a surprising 1-0 win over reigning champions Germany on Sunday, and it was enough to make the country go wild in celebration.
The country hosted many public watch parties, and they were well-attended. In Mexico City, the celebrations were so wild when Hirving Lozano scored in the first half, they registered on seismographs, effectively causing a small earthquake.
