A new campaign is seeking to redefine the "outdated" term "white people" with the "people-first" term "people of light," which is short for "people of light skin."

"People of light," also known as "persons of light," or "PoL" for short, say the term "white" is racist and outdated and they want everyone to use "people-first language."

The campaign got momentum after being shared on the internet message board 4chan, where users were encouraged to correct people using the term "white people" by asking they use PoL's preferred term, "people of light." (2 images)

I've got news for them, we are TAN people. There are no white people except those drained of blood, but to take them up for it for purposes of discussion white is a color. Just ask any artist, theatrical lighting person or kid with crayons.
I guess I should be surprised wikid would stoop this low -- but there's no bottom.

I don't really mind if we Whites are called children of the light. But are these millennial idiots too obtuse to realize that that makes non-whites the children of darkness?
