In an interview with the Fresno Bee, lawmaker Joaquin Arambula spoke about an incident at home Sunday night that led him to spank his 7-year-old. The following day, when she went to school, she allegedly told her teacher what had happened and expressed how she was upset about it, sparking an investigation by Child Protective Services (CPS).

What's criminal is not disciplining a child when necessary.

You can either discipline them while they're young, or the state will discipline when they're older.

This country is totally insane on just about every front.

That is the point of the law in California. A woman was being attacked by her son. Later the police asked her if she hit back. If she did, she would have been arrested.

Way, way, too late in the game for her to even consider disciplining the punk.
