Called something about a wolf, that's why I'm up so late. Used to like that astronomy stuff.

My daughter and I watched it. She is 2 hours south of me. We both dashed in and out because it was so cold ["polar vortex"]. She also saw 2 meteors go by it, one a big one just a few minutes before the full eclipse. She sent me a pic of the moon this morning [truly "blood red"]. My eyes are bad, but I think the moon looked a lot more blood red from her perspective, and she was telling me as we watched it how it was getting really red, while I was just seeing a hint of red. We usually have heavy cloud cover for these events, so all and all, I am glad I didn't miss this one, and to share it with my daughter 2 hours away via phone made it very special. As a little girl, she liked that "astronomy stuff" too. :)

I was always out looking up at the heavens at night trying to spot the major constellations such as Orion and the Big Dipper. ;)

So was my daughter. Orion and the Big Dipper are about the only ones I know, and they are easy to spot where I live.
