Rep. Reggie Smith,

Texans DEMAND that the House and Senate send a constitutional carry bill to Governor Abbott's desk this session. Anything less is NOT acceptable. Ex-Speaker Straus is gone and you are not beholden to him for anything, if he contacts you tell that bastard to go to hell, he used legislative tricks to kill constitutional carry last session and We, The People hate him for what he did. Speaker Dennis Bonnen is attempting to do the same bullshit. Fuck him and the horse he rode in on. You and the rest of the Texas legislature have put this off long enough. South Dakota just passed constitutional carry and Governor Noem signed it into law:

South Dakota passed Constitutional Carry more than once.

Popular *Republican* Governor Dennis Daugaard vetoed a Constitutional Carry more than once. He vetoed a Constitutional Carry bill on March 17, 2017.

Governor Daugaard vetoed his first Constitutional Carry bill in 2012. In between, Daugaard was certain to lobby against Constitutional carry, and get it killed with legislative manuevers. Governors do not like to veto popular bills. It makes them look bad. Legislators do not like to override vetoes of governors of their party. Governor Daugaard seems to have had a phobia against Constitutional Carry.

South Dakota is now the 14th State to pass Constitutional Carry.

Oklahoma is the next state most likely to join the list. *Republican* Governor Fallin vetoed Constitutional Carry in Oklahoma in 2018, on May 11th. Oklahoma has a new governor.

The TEXAS and Oklahoma legislature need only look to South Dakota for success.

Rgds, *X-15*

Texans, please hammer your state rep and senator to get constitutional carry legislation passed THIS SESSION. Make sure you tell your rep/senator that Speaker Dennis Bonnen is a sorry jackass, too. He deserves all the abuse we can heap upon his head.Subscribe to *Shooters*

Well said, and well done, thank you!

Round 2, I'm lighting a fire under my rep's ass this session:

Rep. Smith,

Where is the push from YOU and Speaker Dennis Bonnen (damn that jackass) to move constitutional carry legislation forward and put it on Gov. Abbott's desk??

I think you're not a friend of gun owners and I'm telling everybody in and around Fannin County that they made a mistake in voting for you. I'm INTOLERANT to anything less than it becoming law. First, South Dakota got it the other day, now Oklahoma is about to get it:

Feb 07, 2019 - OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A bill vetoed last year by then-Gov. Mary Fallin that would allow Oklahoma residents to carry a gun without any training or a background check appears to be sailing toward the new Republican governor, who suggested he'll sign it.

Dubbed ''constitutional carry'' by its supporters, the measure easily cleared its first legislative hurdle Thursday when a House committee approved it on a 9-2 vote. The measure now advances to the full House. A similar bill has been introduced in the Senate.

Similar legislation cleared the House and Senate last year, but Fallin vetoed it over concerns about the elimination of training and background checks, and opposition from law enforcement. New Gov. Kevin Stitt and Senate Republican Leader Greg Treat both say they support the concept.

Kansas got it a few years ago and some guy broke up an armed robbery at a convenience store in Pittsburg. If had did not have his pistol the bad guys would have gotten way with it. ;)

Do you think that Abbott would sign such a piece of legislation?

He does want a Constitutional Convention. If one is convened there is nothing that says they would not scrap what we now have and give us something totally different. Recall what happened in Philadelphia in 1789. ;)
