There is literally zero doubt that Guaido isn’t a CIA agent at this point.

Russia Insider:

The Venezuelan Ambassador to Russia commented on the situation in South America. He said that Juan Guaido, who earlier proclaimed himself the president, is a puppet of the US and recruited by Washington 10 years ago. The diplomat also said that he thinks that military intervention could follow the US’s aid. The ambassador added that the Venezuelan government expects provocations from the opposition.

Carlos Rafael Faria Tortosa, Venezuelan Ambassador to Russia: “If I’m not mistaken, he was 21 in 2007, and he went to Serbia where they trained a group of young guys from Venezuela to start an intervention and unrest. It took place when Hugo Chávez was president. And they started all of those preparations. Two years later, he was invited to study at one of the universities in Washington. Afterward, he joined a right-wing party. Which we consider, in our country, to be a fascist party.”

In this Vesti video, the Russkies drop some spicy red pills about the whole color revolution thing.

They assume that you know background info already, so let me get you up to speed real quick.

There was a whole CIA color revolution training camp set up in former Yugoslavia by all the usual suspects back in the day. The new playbook for for color revolutions was built and tested there by an organization called Otpor!

You see their tactics and strategies used all over the world now to foment color revolutions and the overthrow of hostile governments.

Their strategy is simple:

A professional cadre of activists plans a march or a demonstration for a certain date
They mass-advertise it and make it go “viral” using media and social media manipulation strategies
As the event grows, they expand the goals from something specific, i.e., protesting a police brutality incident or a specific tax policy, or something larger like “a President must resign”
An incompetent police crackdown results in casualties, and sob stories for the media to pick up and pump up
People get mad at the police and the government and the event grows
Agitators continue to provoke a crisis and a showdown with incompetent coppers
Brutal crackdowns are used as justification for an armed intervention by the US or NATO allies
Regime is toppled under humanitarian guise and a new puppet regime is installed

With a few variations here and there, this is what people like Guaido are trained to do. This is what he is trying to do in Venezuela. He was trained to do this by the CIA while in Serbia, almost certainly working with Otpor.

So far, it looks like he’s not succeeding.

Because Maduro refuses to just roll over and die.

If he keeps this up, I’ll start unironically shilling for him becoming the Emperor of a Neo-Bolivarian South American superstate and realize Hugo Chavez’s unfulfilled dream.

Juan Guaido ... proclaimed himself the president,

That's just so ... empirically Napoleonic:

Napoleon Bonaparte is crowned Napoleon I, Emperor of the French. He is the first Frenchman to be crowned as Emperor in over a millennium. The ceremony was lavish and it was witnessed by thousands of guests, including Bolivar, the great liberator of Latin America. Napoleon was only 35 years old. ... Napoleon crowned himself Emperor a sign that he was independent of the Church and all other institutions.

SparkNotes: Napoleon Bonaparte: Napoleon Becomes Emperor

A few months later, on May 26, 1805, Napoleon crowned himself again– this time with the iron circlet that symbolized the rule over all of Italy.

Napoleon next moved to recreate an aristocracy, a long French tradition that had been eliminated by the Revolution. In 1808, Napoleon started granting titles of nobility to people who served him particularly well.
