Haven't brought many articles to '4um. Been trying to help friend get out of socialist Alberta's secret "prisons." Detailed in "Google Groups-Alberta Politics. None of the thousands of reports I wrote in my 25 years of journalism, starting as a district correspondent when in high school, had the kind of insights offered in these politics posts. If you have time to read and particularly if you took Shakespeare, let me know what of note you discover in the articles.

I went to the local library to see how much quicker "Google Groups Alberta Politics" would come up but when I typed in those four words, and variations, no reference to my site came up. Curious; how were you able to to get the correct URL?

I have just the four words in my bookmarks list and always get it, albeit, slowly. Thanks.

I think I probably searched for Canada Politics first at the Google Home Page browser and then tried searching there for Alberta Politics, but the steps above are the most direct route I could determine at this point.

Doesn't Alberta have home health care workers that can help your friend with household chores? Dystopian is what it sounds like there. Good of you to do so much to try and make things better. I especially liked your suggestion about sheltering the homeless.

I especially liked your suggestion about sheltering the homeless.

Google Groups: Alberta Politics | Topic: DRAFT Letter to MLA - Health | Date: Feb 21 | Excerpt:

A flimsy factor like a messy house, no running water, living alone with some possible disability, especially in case of elderly can be enough to put a person away. This seems to apply to persons with property, not to much more needy homeless who hang out at shopping mall entrances, in river bank shelters or freeze to death outside; AHS [Alberta Health Service?] could at least arrange for homeless to be accommodated at night in recreation centers; would be savings in ambulance/fire truck services. Media headlines point to "thousands" of homeless veterans in Canada.

Thanks for all this information. I hope that our friend is doing OK.

Change Health Policy to Protect People, Not Health System - Google Groups | Excerpts:

UCP Dave Egan's reply: Thanks for reaching out. There will be a lot of changes to the healthcare system, many of which you've pointed out. Changes won't happen overnight and we will need to consult with the experts to ensure we make the best healthcare system possible.

Tatarewicz: Problem is current AHS [Alberta Health Service] is a gold mine for most of these experts. Perhaps constituency associations could contribute oversight personnel to review "expert's" recommendations.
