Can't concentrate, Ralph Stanley is playing in the parlour...

“I am not one of those weak-spirited, sappy Americans who want to be liked by all the people around them. I don’t care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do. The important question is whether they are in a position to do anything about it. My affections, being concentrated over a few people, are not spread all over Hell in a vile attempt to placate sulky, worthless shits.” - William S Burroughs

Prolly the same one that we left for Don Imus, or the one that he left for us.

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken

“With the exception of Whites, the rule among the peoples of the world, whether residing in their homelands or settled in Western democracies, is ethnocentrism and moral particularism: they stick together and good means what is good for their ethnic group."

Tried to help a heroin addict girl a couple years ago, turned out about as well as any sane person would expect...

Kinda like "Get the hell outta her way!". That's how that turned out.... They go until they hit that wall like Jerry Garcia and many others - heroin does not tolerate aging very well. Well, except for Keith Richards - he's inherited the world evidently....

Heroin is actually fairly benign, in and of itself. The problem lies with those stupid enough to buy into the addiction lifestyle. If the smack doesn't kill them, they'll probably stick their tongue in a light socket on a bet or something.

Prolly the same one that we left for Don Imus, or the one that he left for us.

I loved the Imus show back in the day, and tuned in to hear his short conversations with his brother Fred. Imus was a for real guy without any respect for political correct speech or ass kissing. He was legitimately funny, and often times honest to a fault.

R.I.P. Imus you wrinkled up old scrotum face !

My brother was a big Imus' fan, but I guess that I was listening to someone else whenever he aired. Don's unfiltered remark re: nappy headed ho's certainly cost him some air-time and jack for about a year, but everyone knew exactly what he was talking about and he soon rebounded from that un-pc phrasing. RIP to a broadcasting legend.
