Since using a firearm is now outlawed even for the (white) police...
Which color would you get? (black, grey, orange, pink, yellow, OD green, desert)
My thoughts on color: Black- looks like a Glock, probably pretty dangerous in a police encounter (if you're white) looks good.. Grey- Same as black. Orange- Probably safer. Pink- Safer, may have some legal advantages. My favorite if I can convince myself of that after a few drinks. OD green- probably same as black, looks OK. Desert- Same as OD green. Yellow- Same as orange, but maybe you could put a DeWalt sticker on it and claim you thought it was a cordless drill.
FWIW, I'm a white male that identifies as a black, female, nonbinary, transgender, gay, lesbian, transvestite, liberal. (That may come in handy someday)
Maybe I should buy all seven colors, I could have a color for every day of the week or I could put one in each truck (2), downstairs, upstairs, each bathroom (2), and the garage.

Shit, maybe I should consider an M2 machine gun (Ma Deuce) for the ladder rack on my Toyota work truck instead.
I don't think .50 BMG is that expensive.

I think I saw something about reloads for .50 BMG. New brass and surplus bullets. $6 per round. Some of them are too long to put in a magazine such as the Barret uses. ;)

Then the ammo is out of spec. I remember when the Barrett Light 50 (now M82) came out years ago (just not exactly when, maybe early 80s).
I wanted one, but the price of ammo chased me away. I think it might've been around two bucks? That may be when my friendly gun dealer talked me into a Springfield Armory M1A Super Match in .308. The thing had a trigger on it that broke like a glass rod, fiberglass bedded stock, Art4 scope, the works. Probably the finest firearm that I've ever owned, if not the heaviest. It lives with my pseudo-adopted son now.
I remember the first Light 50s had a machined muzzle brake on them that had to be a bitch to machine (holes drilled at a 45 degree angle). Newer ones used a stamped and welded unit.

I got some hard ball reloads years ago for $3 each that were shipped into Mailboxes etc. store which is now UPS Store since I knew I was getting the Maadi-Griffin. All of that is gone now and all of my guns and silver were stolen when the safe was at the workshop here in town. There will be hell to pay for that atrocity. :-/

Thanks for the input, X. I really like the grey, but I think the best plan of action may be to just order all of them and spares, ammo, mags, etc.
A large order may help get me to the front of the 12 week waiting list, at least getting something sooner.
Given my newfound gender and sexual identity, I'll probably carry the pink one most often, reserving the evil black and grey units for inside the wire. Orange for the work truck. I'm a little pissed off that they're not available in safety green.
I'm pretty sure that the Hot Pink version will come with a lot of legal and tactical advantages.

Squeezing off a single round without hearing protection can cause instant and permanent hearing loss.
For sure. So can some texting woman hitting you head-on.
Bonus plan: Liquefied spine, loss of all teeth, mashed up brain, internal bleeding, divorce. All the fun stuff just before retirement.
This is loud too...

I dunno. Airbags are really loud, kind of like a 12ga. They'll launch a spare tire 40 foot into the air (lot of EweToob vids on that).
I'm sure the actual crash was pretty loud, but Odin took me away after the initial crunch of the sheet metal and didn't put me back until the firemen were cutting me out of the car.
