I don't think it's for population control by spreading viruses, etc. However, samples have been taken by private investigators and they've found that they contain aluminum and barrium.

I'm in the mindset that the purpose is to reflect sunlight or some other type of weather modification. We usually get sprayed before a weather front moves through.

All I know it's not normal for them to spread out the way they do and then hang in the air for hours.

OK. Here is the the same phenomenon I saw over DFW the other night with the contrails "cutting off" abruptly. In fact, this morning I actually saw two "tight circle/paper clip" shape contrails at high altitude...an obvious military jet(s). There were two. One downstream, but tight to the first, and slightly more dissipated, caused by a twin-jet fighter or two single-jet fighters in formation, with the wind drfiting the twin contrails downstream perpendicular to the length of the "paperclip" shaped route they flew. Yes, military aircraft can legally fly through the same airspace we do, as I have been on the same frequency with them many times while on IFR. [Yeah they have MTR's and Restricted Areas also, but anyone who thinks a military aircraft can not perform a tight turn while under IFR and ARTCC contact in controlled airspace is very misinformed. Miliray areas restrict civilian operations, but civilian airspace does not restrict military traffic except as determined by FAR's and ATC clearance.]

After further investigation, I found an explanation. First, more on what contrails are:

A contrail is not smoke, as I fancied as a child. It's not even an emission, really, at least not in the true sense of the word. Much of what you see when you look at a contrail is water that was present in the atmosphere before the jet came along. A contrail is a cloud, as surely as a thunderhead boiling up over a prairie on a summer afternoon. A cloud of ice, birthed by the happenstance of a passing jet.

A few people spend a lot of time thinking about contrails. Generals, for instance. Contrails are a pain in the ass to the Pentagon. For sixty years wartime pilots have lamented that having a contrail form behind your plane is like being followed by a gigantic finger. Or by a neon sign: "Here I am. Shoot me." During World War II allied bombers flew in fear of leaving contrails. Likewise, during the Cold War, contrails were bane to pilots on super-secret reconnaissance missions over the Soviet Union. The Pentagon has committed untold hours trying to develop a reliable method to forecast when and where a plane flying at a certain altitude will produce a contrail. A fellow named Herbert Appleman developed a formula in 1953 designed to do just that. But it was complicated and fraught with uncertainties. You needed to know the temperature of the air through which a jet was going to fly, the relative humidity, the atmospheric pressure. And you needed to know the temperature and water content of the plane's exhaust plume. Appleman's algorithm, as it became known to the Air Force Weather Agency, successfully predicted contrail formation about a quarter of the time -- a rather dismal success rate, it would seem, if you're a pilot in hostile airspace. More important, though, the method was ninety-eight percent successful in predicting when a jet would not create a contrail. The contrail problem is rather self-evident when it comes to the air force's B-2 stealth bomber program. I should pause here to point out that the U.S. military establishment doesn't like to talk about the stealth program. So my information is a bit shaky. What's clear, though, is if a stealth bomber leaves a contrail, the air force's prized secret weapon becomes just another readily visible, albeit striking, high-altitude bomber.

When jet fuel combusts, it forms water as a byproduct. Tiny droplets shoot out in a blast of hot air as the plane soars along, thirty-five thousand feet above the Earth. So do minute particles of oxidized sulfur and nitrogen. What else? Impurities or additives, in minute quantities. Metal particles, soot, that sort of thing. These "minims" give the water vapor already in the air something to cling to. Just as important, though, is the condition of the air through which the jet flies -- namely, its temperature and humidity. Contrails don't always appear behind high-flying jets. In fact, they usually don't. They form about a third of the time, on average.

Humidity and temperature: The forces that create a contrail are quite similar to the forces that make your breath visible on a cold, damp day.

Shoot a plume of hot air laden with tiny particles into the upper atmosphere, where the temperature is, say, sixty below zero and the humidity is somewhat high. The air is suddenly unable to hold its water. Vapor condenses and clings to the matter in the jet's plume. The air soon mixes and cools and the particles of water freeze. A contrail is born.

What happens next also depends on atmospheric conditions. If the air is just barely humid enough and cold enough to allow water vapor to condense, a contrail appears but doesn't stick around. From the ground, you see the gleam of the jet and a short contrail that melts almost as quickly as it appears. The plane looks like a comet chased by a squattish tail.
If the air is sufficiently frigid and humid, a contrail forms easily, stretching out leisurely over the heavens, coaxing tiny ice crystals out of the atmosphere. Chances are on days like these (especially if you live under a busy flight path, as I do in Eugene, Oregon), the sky will be marred -- or graced, it all depends on how you look at it -- with the cicatrices of contrails, roughly parallel, varying in density and width. On days like these, a contrail can persist long after the jet has passed. The contrail splays out and takes the appearance of a flattened snakeskin.

A perfectly apt name for contrails is "faux cirrus." Cirrus, as you may know, are those high, feathery clouds that sailors believe augur foul weather. (There's a certain logic to that -- cirrus, and contrails, tend to form on the front edges of jet streams and cyclonic masses, which often usher in storm fronts.) There are differences in the composition of contrails and cirrus, but they are minute.

If the conditions are just right, a sort of critical mass is achieved. The contrail grows and grows, fattening out, sweeping upward and outward. Watch from the ground, patiently, and you'll see a contrail transmogrify into a cirrus cloud, indistinguishable from the real thing. A cloud where there was none before.

This much is known: the air force has grappled with the contrail problem from the outset of the B-2 program. Early on, technicians developed a chemical that could be added to a jet's exhaust and somehow managed to prevent contrails from forming. The stuff, alas, was too caustic -- apparently it ate through the metal of the containers that held it. More tests were conducted and someone came up with a winner. In 1994 the government awarded a $16 million contract to the Northrop Corporation to fine-tune stealth bombers in a number of ways. One retrofit involved the installation of five "contrail management systems." How do those work? Beats the hell out of me. Ask the air force and you'll get a terse "no comment" along with a citation of national security issues.

One meteorologist explains that the dashed line effect is caused by the jet flying perpendicular to several airstreams of different characteristics [already discussed the causes.]

In conclusion, if you cumulate all of my posts, you will see:

1. Graphical and scientific explanations for contrail phenomena, especially the graphical explanation of the "patterns" which directly relate to the High Altitude Enroute Traffic Patterns which exist all over the world, distrubuted throughout populated and unpopulated areas, which also directly relates to the location of radio navigation aids and enroute navigation routes.

2. Why a dashed line may form:
a. path of aircraft perpendicular to currents aloft of different characteristics

and/or
b. The Pentagon experimenting with some military aircraft with substances which are being tested to hide contrail formation for the stealth program, and to aid in contrail prediction for military reasons.

If TheStateInc was trying to "kill bugs," [us and them] they'd be spraying us from low altitude as they did over Dallas [with my own eyes..and the roar in my ears!] in the 1960's in order to kill mosquitos causing and outbreak of encephalitis. They flew long rows of C-130's from below 500 AGL back and forth in a criss-cross pattern over the entire city enough to dampen the foilage with what I presume at that time period [circa 1962/1963] was DDT. The morning was dead calm. I, as a little boy, was told I could go out and play about an hour after the planes passed. Yes, it left wet spots all over the place and on the grass, yes it got on me, and yes I was misinformed.

Holy s**t!! There is a blue arrow pointing to a paperclip thing on the map with "tight circles" on each end!!! [A holding pattern which can be performed at any altitude from any radio navigation intersection, even ones you don't "see" on the map. The slower the speed, the tighter the pattern. Military fighter jocks can really make these things tight up high because there are no passengers to make sick!!]

Did you know that air, water droplets and ice crystals can all "fall" vertically or horizontally? Did you read the article on how contrails are formed? Ever seen a cloud deck from the edge on...did you know it has a thickness and even parts that sag "fall" [drip (SIC)] downward to a certain extent, based on the winds aloft and condensation level??

OK. Good. Now. Here are the simple steps to make your own "broken/dashed line contrail" in real time:

Place the red dot on ICE at or below [less than] 40 degrees Centigrade. Click FLY. Immediately you'll see the contrail.
Then. drag the dot "downward" on the ICE line [warmer temp] just a touch to 39 degrees C. Let go. Then back the other way....Did you make your own contrail turn off and back on? I did. Do you think the temperature can vary in small horizontal distances by more than one degree C? Ever been in a pool or lake and felt the different temperatures as you swim?

It just doesn't get any clearer than this. A little research and even I debunked my own doubts about the "dashed line" contrail for me ..and you...to see.

Conclusion: "Chemtrail" (SIC) pictures shown as being something other than contrails, and the reasons given [dashed lines, spreading, formation of a few contrails into a vast clou deck...yep it happens and now you know why], are only contrails, and can not be demonstrated to be anything else by virtue of the phenomenon presented.

What we see here, is a tiny bit of truth [military testing substances to inhibit contrail formation for one real truth which is one reason why FOI requests are ignored by TheStateInc...and yes even some localized weather modification experiments] exaggerated beyond the realm of reality, by exploiters of human ignorance for fame and profit [buy my books and video] to include all contrails which form.
My people are destroyed by lack of knowledge. I, too, was fooled by some of these websites, especially on the dashed line thing. I'm a Commercial/Instrument rated pilot, took climatology in college, and know a helluva lot about weather and flying..and they almost had me fooled...
All it takes is a willingness to learn..and understand..as could be seen by the progression of my thoughts on this phenomenon and a few hours of investigation.

The video fails to deliver credible proof of any point made by the presenter. Neither does it refute any point made in this thread.. "Any commercial pilot that flies like this will get his license revoked.."(laughter funny ha ha..) [Oh really? False. Sarcasm can not make points in debate when there is no point to be made.]

The video is just the same "these pictures are not normal" when, in fact, they are. Yep, I've seen contrails by moonlight/starlight when light pollution is virtually nill.. You've read my threads. I would be the last one to ever deny that TheStateInc has the ability or the willingness to spray us with anything. Look what was done with atmospheric nuclear tests. [I'm not trying to debunk you or anyone else personally, just the people trying to push regular contrails as chemtrails on the websites.] It's just that I deny that the aircraft contrails shown in the "chemtrail" site pictures are spraying whatever it might be on us, and therefore, are not "chemtrails." I'm trying to honestly and empirically explain why I believe it based on my flying experience and investigations.

Yes I think, as I already acknowledged, that localized weather mod tests and localized testing of substances to hide contrails for stealth aircraft has and is taking place, but not via a commercial aircraft JP3 conspiriatorial additive. I can explain all of the patterns and phenomenon. I've even had them spray me with DDT from low altitude which is what they'd be doing now if they were testing a toxin on us. Could they be? Of course..and hell yeah! But the contrails aren't this type of thing. The day I see 5 C-130's or helicopters with nozzles at low altitude [500 AGL or below] flying in parallel again over my quarters...and if I were to feel ill the next day...there could sure be a correlation in that.

Contrails ("CHEMTRAILS") are NORMAL. But they happen less often than they don't happen which makes it easy to make something "suspicious" out of them for someone trying to make money off us. The photos on the chemtrail sites are not faked, but their explanation is disingenuous if posted by scientifically knowledgeble people and/or pilots, and just incorrect if posted by those, like me earlier in this thread, who just haven't investigated the science yet. When I made my 1st post, I wasn't sure where I'd end up because I had never researched this. The one thing I knew immediately was the familiar "grid" patterns of the IFR radio navigation charts.

The International Space Station crew sees them all the time, except when airplanes are not flying, as happened in the days after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Here is the report from www.space.com from September 14th, 2001:

"Three days after suicide airplane hijackers toppled the World Trade Center in New York and slammed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., [ED: I deny this assumption also as everyone already knows!] the station crew noted an obvious absence of airborne jetliners from their perch 240 miles (384 kilometers) above Earth. 'I’ll tell you one thing that’s really strange: Normally when we go over the U.S., the sky is like a spider web of contrails,' U.S. astronaut and outpost commander Frank Culbertson told flight controllers at NASA’s Mission Control Center in Houston. NEW ORLEANS -- A U.S. Air Force Reserve C-130 Hercules from the 910th Airlift Wing at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, sprays Dibrom, a pesticide approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, over the city Sept. 13, 2005. The C-130 crew plans to spray the New Orleans area first, then other affected Gulf Coast areas as required. Crews will target are primarily mosquitoes and filth flies, which are capable of transmitting diseases such as Malaria, West Nile virus, and various types of Encephalitis. AERIAL SPRAY RESEARCH AND TRAINING ALSO CONTINUES

Minot Air Force Base, N.D., and the city of Minot were sprayed for mosquito control July 19-20 after the area received more than 10 inches of rain in June. The mission was very successful there and will probably continue in future years as required by officials there.

Thanks for the links IATL, but the naysayers will just dismiss anything posted as "kookery". I'll rip into BAC and such, but against those I considered allies, I just have a sour taste in my mouth over the entire thing. They aren't the people I thought they were, and they've lost any credibility to me.

An mysterious outbreak is causing the deaths of millions of honeybees in 22 states according to an entomologist from the University of Montana.

Jerry Bromenshenk says that Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) is "causing agricultural honeybees nationwide to abandon their hives and disappear."

“Individual beekeepers are really taking a beating,” Bromenshenk said. “A guy down in Oklahoma lost 80 percent of his 13,000 colonies in the last month. In Florida, there are a whole lot of people facing 40, 60 and 80 percent losses. That’s huge.”

"With CCD, most adult honeybees abandon a hive and disappear, leaving the queen and a remnant of younger bees. The malady also is characterized by uncapped brood -- when the cells of young bees in the pupa stage are not covered and protected by their older sisters -- probably because most of the adult bees have left. Dead adult bees aren't found near the hive; they are just gone," explains a news release from the University of Montana.

Bromenshenk says that similar outbreaks date back as far as 1896, though the last major outbreak probably occurred in the 1960s.

“My belief is that what’s going on right now has been seen before, but we've never really gotten a handle on it,” he said.

Bromenshenk has formed a team from the University of Montana that will work with a group of Penn State scientists to better understand the outbreak, which could have a major impact on agricultural production in some areas.

The sheer volume of the supposed "chemtrails" would require massive liquid holding tanks. That means no passengers and no cargo. That in turn requires an incredible fleet of aircraft - impossible to hide.

It's too easy and cheap to contaminate a population from the ground - this issue is pure bullshit, for the very terribly bored.

Its pretty hilarious. You have folks who can identify the govt as corrupt, etc, but cant fit the pieces together.

So, how many billions are unaccounted for in JUST this iraq conflict?

How many trillions are already bought and paid for by CAFR standards, that is, each budget based on last years budget, and then increased. But you only purchase hard assets like ships, buildings, etc a single time. Yet this is included.

Then you have all the stories of seven hundred dollar toilet seats by the navy, etc.

All the pollyannas and disinfo gymnasts want to blame it all on graft, corruption, etc.

But that is in fact enough extra money to outfit several armies and have money left over.

How many areas in the US are restricted acccess, huge parcels of land, yet there is no way they could hide aircraft there? The areas are chosen precisely because one cannot determine what is there, as much of it is underground.

But there are a lot of other pieces than this, but most people aren't ready to toss out the old beliefs, even when they know they're being fleeced.

You guys are kidding, right? Chemtrails are aerosol spraying. Contrails are condensation from engine exhaust. Chemtrails have barium salts in them, along with aluminum oxide, titanium, magnesium, fungus. Read up on them. Something you should know about.

There was a piece on 'chemtrails' on an NBC station in California last week. Why do you care whether people believe in chemtrails, or not? I am not a pilot, but I do have a background in meteorology, and what I have seen on TWO occasions here in Tennessee were NOT contrails. I hope the fact that people think there is something unusual going on doesn't keep you awake at night...after all; there really isn't anything we can do about it. Relax.

It is very probable that some Chemtrail components are extracted from THIS mushroom by Jesuits and their various Coadjutors to create "UFO" and "alien" sightings for secular science fiction believers and visions of "Mary" and popular "saints" for Roman Catholics through its hallucinogenic properties.
