Unseen photo of JFK on day of assassination found in thrift shop CD case A former Secret Service agent who was with President John F. Kennedy when he was assassinated in Dallas nearly 60 years ago has raised new questions about the infamous “magic bullet” theory and the possibility multiple shooters involved.

Paul Landis, now 88, was a young agent tasked with protecting first lady Jackie Kennedy as the president’s motorcade paraded through the city in 1963.

He recalls hearing the gunshot ring out in Dealy Plaza while he was walking just feet away from the president in 1963, he told The New York Times. He then heard an additional two shots and saw Kennedy keeled over in the back of the open limousine.

Landis said he had to duck down to avoid being splattered by brains.

From there, Landis’ account differs from the government’s official findings: In the ensuing chaos, he claims he picked up a bullet that was lodged in the back seat of the car where Kennedy had been sitting and placed it on the president’s hospital stretcher for investigators.

Paul Landis Paul Landis, 88, was just feet away from the President Kennedy when he was killed. Westlake Porter Public Library The 6.5 mm bullet, which had long been thought to have been found on the stretcher of Texas Gov.John Connally after it fell from a wound in his thigh.

Dubbed “the magic bullet,” The Warren Commission concluded that the shot, fired by lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald, had incredibly passed through Kennedy’s throat from the rear, then hit Connally’s right shoulder, then somehow also wounded his back, chest, wrist and thigh.

The report found that one of the shots missed the motorcade, another was the “magic bullet,” and the final shot fatally struck Kennedy in the head.

Landis placed the bullet on Kennedy’s stretcher at the hospital, but now believes at some point the bullet shuffled from the president’s to the governor’s stretchers while they were pushed together, he told The Times.

REUTERS The Warren Commission ruled out the bullet coming from the president’s stretcher.

“There was nobody there to secure the scene, and that was a big, big bother to me,” Landis said. “All the agents that were there were focused on the president.”

RFK Jr. repeats claim that the CIA killed his uncle John F. Kennedy “This was all going on so quickly,” he continued, “And I was just afraid that — it was a piece of evidence, that I realized right away. Very important. And I didn’t want it to disappear or get lost. So it was, ‘Paul, you’ve got to make a decision,’ and I grabbed it.’”

Landis, who was never interviewed by the Warren Commission, believes that the bullet hit Kennedy but was undercharged and did not penetrate deeply into the president’s body and popped out before he was removed from the vehicle.

He told The Times he always had believed that Oswald was the lone gunman, but six decades later, he questions that conclusion.

“At this point, I’m beginning to doubt myself,” he said. “Now I begin to wonder.”

The bullet, found fully intact, was positively matched to Oswald’s Mannlicher-Carcano through ballistics analysis, The Warren Commission said in its report.

The aging former agent made the bombshell revelations in his upcoming book “The Final Witness,” which will be published by Chicago Review Press on Oct. 10.

Lee Harvey Oswald The Warren Commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman in JFK’s assassination. AP James Robenalt, an Ohio-based lawyer and author of several books of history, has intensely researched the assassination and helped Landis work out his memories of that day. He believes Landis’ book will raise new questions about Kennedy’s death.

“If what he says is true, which I tend to believe, it is likely to reopen the question of a second shooter, if not even more,” Robenalt told The Times. “If the bullet we know as the magic or pristine bullet stopped in President Kennedy’s back, it means that the central thesis of the Warren Report, the single-bullet theory, is wrong.”

Which, he added, could mean that Connally was shot by a separate bullet and not by Oswald, whom he believes could not have reloaded fast enough.

Speculation about multiple shooters has been a popular theory since the immediate moments after Kennedy’s assassination.

“Others will have to analyze the evidence in full to see where it now leads,” Robenalt told Vanity Fair.

What about the guy standing along the motorcade route who was in the Army and knew what incoming fire was. He and his family were in front of the Grassy Knoll. When the shooting started, he got his family on the ground pretty quickly. ;)

As much as I believe there was foul play in the assassination, I am having a hard time with the idea that a trained security professional would simply set a key piece of evidence on a stretcher in the middle of a chaotic scene like that.

After Jack Ruby killed Lee Harvey Oswald, a reporter asked, "Jack, how could this have happened?" Ruby replied, "If Adlai Stephenson were Vice President this never would have happened." ;)

Secondarily, Johnson's mistress of 21 years, Madeleine Duncan Brown, who bore him an illegitimate child, said Lyndon Johnson told her on the eve of the assassination, "After tomorrow those godd-mn Kennedys will never embarrass me again. That's not a threat. That's a promise."

Did LBJ kill JFK?

The LBJ link was totally ignored by the Warren Commission. ;)

It has been said that nobody assassinates the president of the US without first clearing it with the Secret Service.

I doubt if Squeaky Fromm had any connections, she just didn't know how to operate a firearm.

If Trump is the Republican nominee again, I intend to vote for him. This would be the third time.

The ONLY reason he beat Hildabeast in 2016 is because the vote fraud had not been perfected.

And Seth Rich gave his life in an effort to expose the fraud. Even his parents said he was the leaker. ;)

The Warren Commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman

Oswald was a patsy used by the Deep State/CIA to blame for the murder. The plan went off the rails when Oswald was taken alive (all indications are that he was supposed to be killed "resisting arrest"). So, enter Jack Ruby to take out the patsy before he could be taken to trial - he was already asserting loudly that he had been set up to take the fall. Ruby was already dying of cancer and conveniently "committed suicide" in his Jail cell.

Analysis of the shoot from multiple trained snipers have asserted that Oswald could not have gotten off the shots in the time allotted nor was he a good shot. As well the angles were close but not an exact match for the window of the Texas School Book Depository. One of the first detectives on the scene reported the the rifle recovered was a Mauser, not the poorly maintained Italian rifle used by the Warren Cover-Up Commission.

It had to have been multiple shooters and based on the audio analysis " 5" rounds fired.

David Lifton did an analysis of the autopsy and concluded JFK was hit from the front but that the autopsy was "doctored" to fit the preordained conclusion.

And to this day all of the key findings, reports, and data are kept undere lock and key and have never been released.

I agree but how about Mr. Hinckley?

Hinckley's family and the family of President George W. Bush have long social, political, and economic ties that have been little reported. Hinckley's brother was scheduled to have dinner at the home of the current President Bush's brother the day after the assassination attempt.

Hinckley is out--free as a bird. Found not guilty by means of insanity because the prosecution helped with the insanity defense.

If Jack Ruby was right about JFK being alive today if he had chosen Adlai Stevenson as his vice president, would Hinckley have shot Reagan had someone other than Bush 41 as his vice prez. (Bush 41 was forced on Regan by the RNC who would not support him unless he chose Bush to complete the ticket.)

Then, Ronald Reagan was invited to New York to go see Rockefeller. When he saw Rockefeller, he was told, 'If you do not take my head of the Trilateral Commission'" (remember, the Council on Foreign Relations, George Bush) "'as your running mate, the only way you'll see the inside of the White House is as a tourist.'"

Hinckley came very close, but in the end it didn't matter because by his second term Reagan ad Alzheimer's and Bush 41 was essentially the president.

Of course I can't prove it, but I've always suspected Reagan was given the Garfield treatment once hospitalized. Rather than poking crusty fingers into his abdomen searching for the entry wound, they probably used a soldering iron (magnetized, of course) to cauterize any suspect synapses.

Tend to doubt that scenario. If the doctors were in on it, they would have just nicked an artery and blamed it on the bullet.

You have to wait at least 25 years between ganking a president, Bush family knows that :)

Besides, a living object of veneration ("Reagan Democrats", anyone?) puppet is worth a hell of a lot more politically than a martyr to a lost cause. Dissenters can be run over with tanks, true believers keep voting for The Cause.
