In most countries of the world -- and even in the U.S. military -- that reverse order is the one that is customarily used: 11/9 or 11. 9 or the like. It's more logical, since if the year follows you have the progression day-month-year, not the illogical month-day-year.

How do they explain God's punishment of Jonah, when he refused to go to Ninevah and save the goyim from their wicked ways? He eventually did, after considerable inducement. BTW, "saving" is not the same as "bombing".

Very astute question. I don't know for sure, but my guess would be that is where their sages come in handy to deliver their traditions of men, because according to them, "Even the best of the goyim [gentiles] should be killed." I just checked the entire readings for the Jewish year in which 9/11 fell. NO mention of Jonah. Jonah was ticked off that God didn't destroy the goyim in Ninevah. Loving your neighbor as yourself never went over big among the Jews. That's one of the reasons God chose a new people.
