20. To: Badeye (#17) I warned him publicly at least twice, and by email NOT to post anything that was in Arabic, or linked to an Arabic language site. He said it was done accidently, and would not do it again. In the last article he posted, (I deleted the thread), when I went to the link, it was AGAIN to an Arabic language site. That was it. Done. I won't be lied to. LP cannot tolerate that. We are at war...like it or not. There is no way for me or others who cannot speak Arabic to know whether or not there are messages between terrorists going on, and I won't be a party to that. It's too dangerous for all of us. When I warn someone about an action, and spell out the reason why, and they do it again, I don't have any other choice but to cut off their posting rights. I think I acted on behalf of the posting community here. We can't be associated in any way with those who are terrorists. I think he was doing a disservice to the site, and our members. Oh absolutely. I think for her, running LP is second only to her Judaism. She was involved in "news activism" if that's the correct term, even before FR came along. A fax-tree network of faxing news reports around that the major media was ignoring.

I agree that media control that is unfairly favorable to Israel, such as that practised by Goldi, can breed more discontent against Israel and perhaps Jews also. People see the imbalance and wonder why. "Are we children of a lessor God?" was a very good question raised at the hight of the Israeli bombing of the Lebonese people. According to Goldi, they apparently are.
When Goldi or anyone else justifies the death of innocent Lebanese while lamenting those of Israelis, I think Israel is made to look quite bad. That doesn't exactly help Jews out either.

No news articles have been removed unless they had a foreign language in them.
I've removed 2 that had arabic in them.
With our terror threat, I don't know if that could be a signal to do a deed or not, and I don't want homeland security shutting down LP.
So
If you want a discussion board that has no rules, and is a free for all, Libertyforum is still operating. If that is what you want, go there. However, it's gotten so ugly that the owner has abandoned it. I don't intend to let LP go that route.

And I will pull any thread that contains material that is not news, that promotes any specific bigotry - regardless of the bigotry. I still have new people signing up who promote very ugly things. If you guys see them before I zap them, I get a scad of pings, and emails to dump it. So, they aren't things you guys want on LP.
Fun threads for the members to participate in are still okay, since they only seem to occur occasionally. They would be in the LP Townhall category, Misc General, or the Biker Bar.
