This category is dedicated to things gone, but not forgotten..the vanished Americana, if you will..a place to escape the present madness and go back to a time that many of us remember with fondness and nostalgia. Let's rock and roll!

Why didn't you just name this category 'OFN' (Old Farts Network)?

Can we dedicate that one to the current administration?

Great idea. Can someone tell me how to post Youtube videos? I've forgotten how.

My last addition to my iPod was 6 hours of Jack Benny radio.

Is that too early?

What we still don't understand is why you Americans stopped the bombing of Hanoi. You had us on the ropes. If you had pressed us a little harder, just for another day or two, we were ready to surrender! It was the same at the battles of TET. You defeated us! We knew it, and we thought you knew it.

To the right of the video you will see a box that says URL and then one beneath it Embed. Highlight, copy, then paste that into the reply box here. Try one.

Remember McDonald's when it looked like this? and the burgers and fries were so delicious. That was when they did the fries fresh rather than frozen. My mother used to take my sister and me for lunch every Saturday. We'd eat in the car because our McD's didn't have tables. Next door, they had a trampoline park. The trampolines were built into the ground. We'd go there sometimes before our McDonald's lunch. That was so much fun.

My uncle worked at Mickey D's back then and still bitches about all the potatoes he had to peel and slice.
