11% percent Congressional approval rating an astonishingly low

According to the latest Reuters/Zogby poll, the approval ratings of both Congress and President Bush have fallen through the floor. The president received good marks from only 24 percent of those surveyed. But he's riding high compared with Congress. The congressional approval rating was an astonishingly low 11 percent. That's the lowest level of public support for Congress ever recorded. Incumbents in the House and Senate knew they were in trouble last fall, when the approval rating of Congress dipped below 20 percent in the Reuters/Zogby poll. http://www.al.com/opinion/press-...92698902303400.xml&coll=3

24% percent Bush's approval at new low in Reuters

President Bush's approval rating has reached a new low in the newest Reuters/Zogby Poll -- with just 24 percent of those surveyed approving of Bush's job performance. That is down from 29 percent last month. It is lower than the latest register of Bush's approval rating in the Gallup Poll -- 32 percent in Gallup's newest October survey. The newest gauge arrives as President Bush prepares for a press conference in the West Wing this morning -- at 10:40 am EDT -- and as the president prepares to fend off an override of his veto of an expansion of children's health care on Capitol Hilll tomorrow. http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/...oval_at_new_low_in_r.html

25% of Germans see bright side to Nazi rule

Respondents aged 60 or older had the highest regard for aspects of the era BERLIN – A quarter of Germans believe there were some positive aspects to Nazi rule, according to a poll published today – a finding that comes after a popular talk show host was fired for praising Nazi Germany's attitude toward motherhood.Pollsters for the Forsa agency, commissioned by the weekly magazine Stern, asked whether National Socialism also had some ``good sides (such as) the construction of the highway system, the elimination of unemployment, the low criminality rate (and) the encouragement of the family.'' I'm surprised Bush's approval rating is that high since they (US) can wire tap us at will with no legal recourse and actual immunity given to the phone companies. The Zionists dictate our foreign policy, private interests control our economy and our courts are no longer constitutional.

A "conservative" is a draft animal that claims we must wear our yokes more or less as they're placed on us. A "liberal" is a draft animal that claims we have a right to shift the yokes from time to time.

I find this funny just because I have said many times that both Bush and congress have lower approval ratings than Hitler...I meant it as a joke...did not know how close I was to the truth :-)...made my day! with Bush at 24% that means his support is made up of listeners to Rush,Baby Jesus aka Hannity,Medved,Savage...

11% for Congress? 24% for bush is not surprising at all.

Eleven per cent is misleading as Congress has a re-election rate of over 90 per cent.

So people may be unhappy but they return the professional politicians to Washington every election year.

Unhappy but not exactly smart enough to realize who is bending them over.

"MY Congressman is wonderful; it's the others that suck out loud!" Isn't that how the sheeple look at it?

Someone on digg said that it looks like 24 percent of the population is brain dead.

They're probably too lazy to take the stickers off.

If I've learned anything about liberty, it's that our liberty has been stolen and deserves a fight to get it back! It is also vital for each of us to fight just as hard for the lost liberties of other citizens as for the lost liberties that you or I may cherish.(me)

I find it hard to believe the Nazis rate that low in our current environment.

My guess is most Germans would be afraid to answer a question like that honestly for fear of being Zundelled in some kind of government sting operation.

Godfrey Smith: Mike, I wouldn't worry. Prosperity is just around the corner.
Mike Flaherty: Yeah, it's been there a long time. I wish I knew which corner.

Yes.

Here in Pa. we unloaded that slacker Santorum, but what did we get? Another slacker looking for a lifetime rest home.

Cant win.
