Glen Beck was in town today, what a swingin' time that was. Beck and entourage arrived in two huge busses, amid a throng of well-healed admirers. There must have been at least twenty-five Ron Paul supporters on the scene as well, doing our civic duty and all.

I went inside about twenty minutes after Beck arrived, could not believe the gigantic mass of humanity waiting in line to get their book autographed. I bought a 2008 Calendar with pictures of 60's Muscle Cars, and CD's from Deep Purple and Miles Davis.

Since they had two busses, and since we were still hanging around out front, they decided to sneak Glen out the back. Didn't matter, we weren't going to change his mind in that 1.2 seconds he spent sprinting from the door of the bookstore to his bus anyway.

Then some of us went and got lunch. It was fun, but not newsworthy.

I'm hoping I can inspire others to do the same. It's actually a lot of fun, meeting real people who have similar views on politics, life, and the universe.

Not that y'all aren't real people... :)

The driver of the black bus made me chuckle, upon setting eyes on Ron Paul supports he said "Y'all bunch of knuckleheads, been seeing you since Iowa". Seems he'd been hired to drive all sorts of GOP bigwigs. Nice enough fellow though.

I was really tripped out by the number of Mercedes and BMW's of the Beck supporters in Castleton. Hell, I used to live in Castleton.

It is! There were some liberals at the demonstration against Rumsfeld several days ago; they are all voting for Ron Paul. We agreed if Kucinich had the momentum we would vote for him, but the momentum is with Ron Paul. It made them laugh to think they had to register Republican. Not a bad reminder to everyone.

The music blasters here enjoy this magazine. I must admit they take good care of their cars.

LOL, that's exactly what the rent-a-cop told us.

The Barnes and Noble staff invited us in right after that. Not that they had excluded us...Decent enough of them.

Of course they do, they're being paid by big East Coast music publishers to do so.

Yeah...I went through a few copies of that on 8-track back in the day. Shame someone couldn't arrange to have the Ron Paul blimp follow that bus around the country.
