Thanks to those here for your time and interest in creating our ad (a special thanks to Critter) for the Manchester Union Leader. Pending agreement with the paper, our plan is to run it on Sunday, January 6th , two days before the New Hampshire primary.

We have two choices. The 4 x 6 Black and White for $1100 and 4 x 6 Color for $1864. Our preference, of course, is the eye catching color!

Several 4um members have pledged financial support and now we need to hear from others who enjoy posting here on a regular basis. I believe that the presidency of Ron Paul is our last chance to Restore our Republic and to save our country.

I would appreciate it so much if we at Freedom4um could do our part in making this happen. You may PM me with your pledges and with complete confidentiality. (1 image)

4 x 6 Color is $1864.

I like the 4 x 6 color very much and hope others will join in with supporting this effort.

I had to sacrifice a months worth of beer to make my donation, that took a lot of will power.

Well, it took a lot of thinking on my part, but then look at it this way, it is either make it possible for Paul or we will have Hillary as lord and master.

If the price of beer goes up again, I will have to cut down on the bologna. Get my priorities straight.

Beer has more calories anyway.

duck...

Old military saying, there is a loaf of bread and pork chop in every bottle of beer.

It was an extreme sacrifice and I cried a lot but I sent my loot to Christine.

Redeeming social value however, I will buy TWICE as much beer in January.

The discovery of the brewing process probably did more to advance civilization than anything else before antibiotics. Seriously.

Seriously.

I was taught to look at it this way...Water washes out roads and bridges, makes people homeless etc etc...You never heard of beer doing that did you???

So any sane thinking person would shun bad water and drink good beer. And donate money for 4um ad.

Subliminal messages in the ad:

1. Title statement looks like a fact. For a casual careless observer who does not go deeper than title this could be an ad for the person named in the title.

2. 2nd line "Scare" is negative. Instinctive answer to the question is NO (I don't get scared -> I'm not with you)

3 "scares us" - repeats 2. -> Those who get scared loose.

4. "Put an end to war on drugs"? Like, is he actually FOR them?

5. 5-end stars in the photo can be interpreted as a hint that the object is part of the system.

Just some marketing thoughts...

Paul needs a good showing on Dec 16th and on Jan 8th, New Hampshire primary.

With those two it would be difficult for MSM to ignore him.

Excuse me while I interrupt this thread with yet ANOTHER example of how Ron Paul is getting f***** over (sorry, I'm pissed) by the powers that be. Click here to enter the portal of the MSN newspage; the homepage for many who use MSN as an ISP. Enter 'Ron Paul' in the search engine, and hit the pretty green button. Wow. Look at ALL the Ron Paul links. Now...without scrolling down, check out the right side of the page. I will eat one of my wife's delicious walnut chocolate chip cookies in honor of the FIRST person that sees what has me pissed.

This from comments on a USA Today poll.

"4m ago If these "telephone polls" started including CELL PHONES instead of just land lines, they'd get a real picture. Ron Paul supporters arent sitting at home on our retirement checks, we're at work M-F 9-5. We're young, we're out in the world, we're connected, and we know what's going on! Ron Paul Revolution!"

Odd, I tried the same for Huckleberry and there was nothing about torturing stray dogs. I wonder if there's a link on Guiliani's search about planting bombs in the offices of Congressmen?

I agree. A lot of poeple won't notice anything but the title and think it is an ad for Hilary and instead of getting scared they might even like it. Instead of going negative like Fred and McCain did in the debate it might be good to only talk about the positives - Ron Paul's stance on the issues.

God is always good!

for me, it works. that headline is an attention grabber and it makes me want to read what comes next. our target audience for the ad is republicans who can and will vote in the NH primary so i think that, in this case, the hillary fear factor is going to sell.

New Englanders may be an ornery lot but they are honest. Most will at least speed read the ad and if they already have problems with Hillary it will be reinforced one more time.

We will get a circulation of over 250,000 statewide with a readership in excess of 300,000. Those are people that vote. If we get 30,000 to read the ad and think, our money is well spent.

Voting for the sorry lot of Giuliani and McLame has got to sour the thoughts of many people.

Update: We've received pledges for $1200 so far. If everyone gave just $10, we could do this easily. We're getting close! Remember, our goal is $1864 for the color ad.

Thank you all for your consideration.
