Probably yes ( who benefits?) but that does not mean the allegation is not true. This Larry Sinclair guy is putting himself out on a thin limb - he is defaming a lawyer who is a Presidential candidate.

He is defaming a presidential candidate who would probably prefer not to draw further attention to this accusation, true or false, and also a public figure who would have to meet a very stringent legal standard, under New York Times v. Sullivan, to win a defamation suit.

If this story gains traction in MSM, Obama may want to consider his legal options to vindicate himself. Rumors about a gay interlude along with cocaine use will not endear him to Southern Baptist black voters.

True or not I hate to see this type of mud slinging.
We all have things hidden in our closet we would rather others not see, so unless he murdered someone, he is best to ignore it.

a. Yes, I agree.
b. I'd agree with you if it stayed as a net rumor but if MSM picks it up then Obama may be forced to address it formally or he will risk losing the religious black vote to Hillary in upcoming primaries where they are running neck and neck.
