Probably yes ( who benefits?) but that does not mean the allegation is not true. This Larry Sinclair guy is putting himself out on a thin limb - he is defaming a lawyer who is a Presidential candidate.

He is defaming a presidential candidate who would probably prefer not to draw further attention to this accusation, true or false, and also a public figure who would have to meet a very stringent legal standard, under New York Times v. Sullivan, to win a defamation suit.

If this story gains traction in MSM, Obama may want to consider his legal options to vindicate himself. Rumors about a gay interlude along with cocaine use will not endear him to Southern Baptist black voters.

We all have things hidden in our closet we would rather others not see, so unless he murdered someone, he is best to ignore it.

I spent a lot of years in dirty politics and met ONE man that was honest and did not have a sexual problem of one sort or another. I speak of office holders here. Those of us in the backroom were Saintly and virtuous.

Serious...I may have told you this before. I ran my own nephew out of office as a County Commissioner. I have always disliked incumbents. That is what is wrong with this country, professional politicians making it a career.
