There is a lot of speculation floating around the "Net" and elsewhere regarding the meaning of four major undersea communications cables running into Iran being cut.

This action, and the fact that it was four and not just one or even two, suggests strongly that someone wants to cut off Iran's ability to communicate with the outside world.

So, the speculation who? And why?

"In the days leading up to 9-11, the FBI shut down Muslim websites across America, silencing the voices that would have spoken out against the propaganda blaming Arab Muslims for 9-11.

So now we see the websites in the Middle East being cut off from the entire world.

And the Superbowl is this Sunday!"

Developing and worth watching.

The other possibility I thought of is that Israel could be preparing to invade Gaza and conduct another mass slaughter of innocents.

Cutting off their communication lines would seem to suggest something is up.

Of course we won't know for sure what it is until some overt action is taken.

As I've been stating for a long time, Bush will not make was to Iran. It's not because he's not willing, but because he can't. The state of the economy is such that it would be impossible for Bush to invade any major country these days and he simply can't afford to damage another oil-exporting country at this time.

Israel has already stepped up the slaughter of innocents in Gaza. I suppose they could be planning a "final solution".

Interesting op ed column by Karl Hasslinger in the current, Feb. 4 issue of Navy Times: "A Threat From Below: Undersea security falls short, leaving telecom, energy resources vulnerable". Writer is director of Washington operations for General Dynamics Electric Boat.

To reason, indeed, he was not in the habit of attending. His mode of arguing, if it is to be so called, was one not uncommon among dull and stubborn persons, who are accustomed to be surrounded by their inferiors. He asserted a proposition; and, as often as wiser people ventured respectfully to show that it was erroneous, he asserted it again, in exactly the same words, and conceived that, by doing so, he at once disposed of all objections. - Macaulay, "History of England," Vol. 1, Chapter 6, on James II.

Is there an online version available of that op ed?

The Isreli planes would have to fly over Iraq to reach Iran. I doubt the Saudis would allow the Israelis to fly overhead. With the communication lines cut. Israel could lambaste the Iranians. However, the Iranians might be reading the Internet and expect the attack.

The important point for Americans is that we have 17,500 sailors and marines in the Persian Gulf on ships that can be easily sunk with Iran's Russian made anti- ship missiles. If we did not want to sacrifice those 17,500 sailors and marines we would have stationed them in the Indian Ocean out of harms way.

Of course if we really cared about the troops we would not allow Israel to fly over Iraq. And we would have begun a troop withdrawl.

What the Iranians is for Russia to use their radar and spy satellites to warn them.

China has business interests in Iran now too.

It was lucky for the US that towards the end of his life (more or less - is the guy still alive?), Ariel Sharon mellowed out a bit, and his successor, Olmert, isn't chomping at the bit for war like Netanyahu and the rest of the hardline Likud party pols.

If Netanyahu were in charge, Israel would already have attacked Iran, and the US military would be backing him up.

I'm inclined to agree with you. The puppet masters behinhd the curtain, mainly the Rothschild and Rockfeller familes, have picked Hillary as the next president. The Electric Jew's recent promotion of McCain is merely a deversion to make lemmings believe they live in a democracy. Above all Lemmings want to survive and they will never never vote into the White House an ignorant, narcissistic warmonger like McCain. In all probability Hillary is the next president and the war against Israel's enemies in the Muslim neighborhood will continue.

Don't bet on that.

The Armageddonite crowd thinks that the Second Coming is right around the corner, so the faster they bring on WW3, the faster they'll get raptured away.

And for the rest of the lemmings - they voted for ignorant, narcissistic warmongers before, so why not this time? Especially if their only choice in November is going to be between TWO narcissistic and crooked warmongers.

Thanks for the flag, and Yes, the cutting of four cables has disturbing implications.

No live shots of waves of bombers flying over civilian areas, perhaps?

i think you're correct, Z...especially in light of the coulter/hannity/limbaugh criticism of their GOP mcLame.

The only solution to this mess is to dig a hole big enough to nudge them all in and cover quickly

Hillary is a much better fit for the Zionists than McCain. The vast majority of Jews are considered liberals, say, Marxist, Bolsheviks. social engineers or whatever, and Hillary, the epitome of the femi-nazi ia more than ready to step into Lennis's shoes.

Welcome to hard times, America.

My gut has been telling me for a long time that Israel will attack Iran and the U.S. Inc. will back em up. When is anyones guess.

That is a distinct possibility and Israel has the capability with their German built subs to conduct this kind of cable cutting operation.

I would note that Israel was not affected by these cables being cut.

Given that Whoregay has promised to come to Israel's "aid" even if they were the aggressor Israel may want to force the issue if they think Whoregay won't attack unilaterally.

The timing of the cut off suggests soon.

Israel has already stepped up the slaughter of innocents in Gaza. I suppose they could be planning a "final solution".

Of course they want a "final solution" the bloodthirsty thieving zionist pigs want Gaza as "Lebensraum" and the Palestinians are being obstinate in continuing to try to stay alive and keep their own land.

The Zionistas want Eretz Y'srael as Hertzl laid out in his diary and they intend to achieve that unless someone stops them.

Since they are psychotic pigs and regard themselves as "superior" beings (which they disprove by their murderous megalomania) they do not regard murdering Arabs on the same level as someone killing a Jew. Of course they don't care much for non-zionist Jews as they proved in Germany by betraying their own kin into the Kamps for a temporary advantage for themselves.

Middle East Internet Blackouts Spur Geopolitical Suspicions

Bloggers says big event could be right around the corner, Iran completely cut off

Paul Joseph Watson

Prison Planet

Friday, February 1st, 2008

Unprecedented mass Internet outages throughout the Middle East and Asia after no less than four undersea Internet cables were cut without explanation are spurring suspicions that a major event of geopolitical proportions may be just around the corner.

Internet blackouts are impacting large tracts of Asia, the Middle East and North Africa after four undersea cable connections were severed. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Pakistan and India, are all experiencing severe problems.

According to InternetTraffic.com, Iran has been completely cut off from the Internet, though Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's blog can still be accessed.

Most notably, Israel and Iraq are unaffected by the outage.

"Stephan Beckert, an analyst with TeleGeography, a research company that consults on global Internet issues, said the damaged cables collectively account for the majority of international communications between Europe and the Middle East," reports CNN.

Officials say that the cause behind the severing of the cables remains unknown, but United Arab Emirates' second largest telecom company said the cables were cut due to ships dragging their anchors.

Is this a pre-cursor to throw a veil over an imminent staged event in the Middle East?

"What are the odds? Who benefits? asks the Crimes and Corruptions blog. "Let's see. Iranian rapprochement: "Recent months have brought signs of a growing rapprochement between Iran and Egypt."

"What nation would not like this and has subs which could cut the cables? Why do it? Payback as over the net business is badly damaged. Or is this a setup for more? Note the internet is working just fine in Israel."

Over at WhatReallyHappened.com, Mike Rivero points out that the mysterious cable sabotage could portend another imperial Neo-Con crusade in the works.

"The biggest problem the Bush administration faced during Iraq were images coming over the internet that showed the horrors being visited on the Iraqi people, and exposed the government's lies about Saddam," he writes.

"I am greatly concerned that these undersea cable cuttings are intended to prevent the world from seeing something that is about to happen, other than through the government-controlled propaganda/media."
