Craig Accepting Applications for Summer Interns

Deadline Quickly Approaching

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Idaho Senator Larry Craig is currently seeking intern applications for the summer term, which runs from May to August. The application deadline is March 15, however if more time is needed for the application process, please contact Senator Craig's office for an extension. Craig offers paid internships within the Washington, D.C., office. Preference is given to Idaho applicants attending Idaho schools who are in their junior or senior years of college (including graduating seniors).

'"Interns have the chance to be an essential part of a working congressional office," said Craig. "They participate in the legislative process as well as ensure that constituent services run smoothly. For those interested in politics, it is an incredible opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at how our government functions while serving the people of Idaho."

Interns are paired with staff members based on experience and interests, in order to best utilize their talents. They are also expected to fulfill some administrative duties such as answering phones, sorting mail and greeting constituents.

Applications and more information about the internship program are available on Craig's website at http://craig.senate.gov/internships.cfm or at any of Craig's six regional offices in Coeur d'Alene, Lewiston, Boise, Twin Falls, Pocatello and Idaho Falls. It is recommended that applications be delivered personally to the regional offices or sent via fax to (202) 224-2573. Applications can also be mailed, but delays are likely due to heightened security measures for Senate mail. Mailed applications should be directed to:

I would prefer peer pressure to a goon squad. However, the sex in the male restroom speaks volumes about what is wrong with how people currently oppress and stigmatize homosexuality.

If there is less reason to sneak about to do what your sexual nature irrepressibly demands you do with like minded consenting adults, there is less of that sort of thing going on.

That is the best way to address these things, less oppression and social stigma, not more enforcement to address the symptoms that appear because of other really bad oppression that is happening in society.

Wives are probably in state of shock, or perhaps facing reality to what they had suspected. Rather than act irrationally, they'll be the dutiful wife...until such time as the attorney(s) can sort out earnings, retirement benefits, and other perks.

Once that stage is reached, or near that, you'll most likely see the NJ governor's wife type actions.

I really think that,as an older woman, what flashes through their minds is that l)it can't be cause he tells me so--all the while ignoring those 'teeny tiny' warning flags 2) they think of their social status 3) their reputation 4) their kids 5)how they will survive if they walk, etc.

Who really knows............cripes I have a friend who has a Masters Degree in Anthropology who feared that should her husband die the state would take her two sons!!! She never made a connection with social security being there for minor children if the working parent dies. [Never mind the rightness or wrongness of this aspect of the program--it is there, has been for ages, and isn't going away].

This gal is a whizkid in the field of genetics......and yet has this fear--when the fact is, she could go to work for most any outfit dealing with genetics, even teaching the subject, for crying out loud, with a salary that virtually any state worker couldn't match after 20 years on the job!

Yes, he is definitely a liar.

And his actions tell me I don't want him anywhere near a place of power. His reasoning powers/facilities/capabilities-- thinking he could find strange sex in a public toilet, and no doubt unprotected sex--shows me the reason to fear him near a seat of power. That he would treat his wife and family to such shows him the scoundrel, no good or otherwise, that he is.

His loyalty principles are subject to whim, rather than a deeply held belief. Another reason to not be anywhere near the seat of power. I could never trust someone that you can't trust with their own wife--I don't give a damn if she is a nag or fishwife. If he can find a 'reason' to betray her, he can sure as hell find a reason to betray a country that, for instance, shows him with low poll figures, or doesn't back his desire to kill, kill, kill.
