Obama57;s National Security Group Teaming With Globalists

JonesReport.com | July 1, 2008

As the Real News Network enumerates, Obama57;s recently-announced 56;Senior Working Group on National Security56; is little more than a consortium of top globalists, secret society members, former Clinton & Bush officials and war-engineers at large.

It was revealed yesterday that Obama may retain Defense Secretary Robert Gates if he gains the presidency. Gates co-wrote the CFR report 56;Iran: Time for a New Approach57; with Zbigniew Brzezinski, already an Obama adviser. Gates also attended the most recent Bilderberg meeting just outside Washington D.C.

The report also names a number of former Clinton officials51; including two former Secretaries of State, two Secretaries of Defense and two members of the 9/11 Commission51; who are members of the 56;continuing government57; bureaucracy at large. Those who brought you Bosnia would likely bring you Iran.

Former US national security adviser Anthony Lake today called Iran57;s potential to hold a nuclear-arm 56;the most dangerous crisis57; and indicated that Obama would go along with harsh Iran sanctions.

Lake also tamed hopes that Obama would bring home troops, citing the need for “a residual presence” in Iraq as he told the Financial Times the Vietnam withdrawal was 56;traumatic.57;

Another member of Obama57;s National Security Group has long advocated re-routing a 56;unilateral pre-emptive war57; into a coalition-supported 56;preventive war.57; Former Deputy National Security Advisor James Steinberg wrote in a white-paper titled 56;Preventive War, A Useful Tool,57; that 60;Unilateralism is not the only alternative70; regional organizations and a new coalition of democratic states offer ways to legitimize the use of force when the council fails to meet its responsibilities.61;

Steinberg doesn57;t see Bush57;s unilateral war with Iraq as a mistake; it57;s just one example of what may come: 60;One problem with the Bush doctrine, then, is not that it is overly reliant on preventive force but that it too narrowly conceives of its use.61;

James Steinberg, currently a Dean at the University of Texas and has been involved in the CFR, the Trilateral Commission, Brookings Institute, RAND Corp. and the Bilderberg group.

Two former Clinton Secretaries of State, Warren Christopher and Madeline Albright, who was spotted at the 2008 Bilderberg meeting, would apparently also advise Obama. Albright has received criticism and since apologized for commenting in 1996 that 60;the price61; of half a million dead Iraqi children as a result of Iraq sanctions 60;is worth it.61;

Others on Obama57;s Senior Working Group on National Security include:

- William Perry, former Secretary of Defense in Clinton57;s second term. 52; coercive diplomacy51;

- 9/11 Commission co-chairman Lee Hamilton; also a member of the equally ineffective Iraq Study Group.

- Senator David Boren, former Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence

- Secretary of the Navy Richard Danzig

- Representative Tim Roemer, 9/11 Commissioner

- Greg Craig, former director of the State Department Office of Policy Planning

- Dr. Tony Lake, former National Security Advisor

- Eric Holder, former Deputy Attorney General, who served in the Reagan and Clinton administrations.

- Former Senator Sam Nunn, who previously headed the Senate Armed Services Committee and who chaired the The Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI), a public charity founded in 2001, alongside Ted Turner. It deals with the spread of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons.

- Susan Rice, former Assistant Secretary of State and member of the CFR and Brookings Institute.

While this group at large has promoted the idea of diplomacy with Iran, we have already seen Obama57;s duplicity with foreign policy, as well as his willingness to cooperate with the foreign policy agenda of Israel51; making him, likely, little different (in effect) from any other candidate.

As the Real News Network puts it, is this change we can believe in? Obviously not.

Obama’s National Security Group Teaming With Globalists

The proclivity of right radicals to obsess over what goes on behind closed doors as opposed to what has gone on right under their noses for the last 7+ years I find simply astonishing.

The stark difference between those seeking political alignment/stability and those all-out corporate pirates and traitors seeking global economic benefit and the end of sovereignty are horses of a decidedly different color.

Success is relative. It is what we can make of the mess we have made of things. T. S. Eliot

Sheesh

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”—Samuel Adams

Thanks for the pinging. This is consistent with Obama's much trumpeted 'running to the center' ('pivoting' there, if we are to use the stupidword in vogue). How real it is... we shall see.

The current charges of Obamas pivoting 'center' or 'right' do seem to contradict the previous analyses of his being a Muslim or a terrorist or a Marxist-leftist or 'the most liberal member of the US congress'. There may be some reality behind the so-called news and, part of it, may be an over-reaction to the above attempts to frame the guy as some kind of organic Che Guevara in tights.

As for my view, I always loved the Beatles and I will let them speak for me now in ways much better (more better :)) ) than I could:

I've got to admit it's getting better (Better)
A little better all the time (It can't get more worse)
I have to admit it's getting better (Better)

It's getting better since you've been mine

Me used to be angry young man
Me hiding me head in the sand
You gave me the word, I finally heard
I'm doing the best that I can

I've got to admit it's getting better (Better)
A little better all the time (It can't get more worse)
I have to admit it's getting better (Better)

It's getting better since you've been mine
Getting so much better all the time
It's getting better all the time
Better, better, better
It's getting better all the time
Better, better, better

Antiparty - find out why, think about 'how'
