I sent several of the links from my home computer to my work computer but I just copied and pasted them so I am not sure what I have here but I based that upon an analysis I had read that was complied by an engineer who said that the force of impact and resulting damage and which caused a weight shift implied that the center o gravity of actually shifted outside of the buildings' footptint. Now, I am not an engineer so I may have misunderstood his statement. It is that statement upon which I based my statement.

The center of gravity could have moved, if, the tower was actually bent in the impact. Otherwise not really. But the point you are making still stands, you are just using the wrong, or inaccurate term.

I understand we have differing opinions on JT, and that's fine.

But I think the record on this thread of his completely unsolicited attacks on me on this evening speaks for itself, and supports my assessment quite strongly. I believe that any unbiased person reviewing it would agree.

And if I feel 4um is a place where it's open season for unwarranted attacks on my reputation, I'll close my account and go for good

Not that it matters, but I would hate to see you go Neil. You have more friends than enemies here.

Let it be water off of a Duck's back. If I allowed all the attacks and name calling I've taken bother me I would have slit my wrists a long time ago. I'm sure that would have made a few shills happy.

I still recall your stand on the thread that got TwentyTwelve and I banned for pointing out that Goldi-Pox was a stinking lying hypocritical Israel Firster. Of course I was a bit more decorous before the banning. ;-)

You need not be bothered by the misapprehensions of others. Seek first and only your own approval. Of course it doesn't hurt to have God on your side either.

Thanks...IIRC my physics correctly, C/G was simple geometry in basic structures - such as rectangles - as to where the average location of weight of an object was. IN a rectangle, again IIRC, it's height/2.

There are 2 kinds of people on 4um. Those that like Obama because they are white guilters, and those who hate Obama because they are racists.

At least that seems to be the options put forth collectively by us 4umers.

In other words you have no idea of what you're talking about, and are simply cutting and pasting some terms you've read that were written by some guy who calls himself an engineer.

Guess what, I'M AN ENGINEER, so believe what I say.

Hear ya, Palo...It's like an interactive school of all sorts.

Anyone who is intellectual honest is going to admit they've had their respective perspectives changed here and there - as well they should. We (and I) have learned something from most everyone...EXCEPT those posters who engage a forum strictly and solely for bloodsport like Klowns. Or even some of Jim Rob's SS Brownshirts. These are the anti-social jackals and parasites who should be called out, derided and ostracized.

Your problem is that you've assumed a conclusion, i.e. "BOOOSH BRUNG DOWN THE TOWERS!!!" and are trying to construct a fairy tale based upon Moonbatism

You stupid assed dork, NOWHERE have I EVER said ""BOOOSH BRUNG DOWN THE TOWERS!!!", only drooling retards such as yourself have ever thought ANYONE has ever honestly said that.

What is clear is that there are MANY lies and distortions being given as the "official truth" that are simply improbable or impossible, and not only is that reason to investigate what really DID happen, but to wonder why those in the US government and the media would try to coverup what DID happen.

Might Bush have known about the plan? More than likely he was kept in the dark in terms of operational details but knew SOMETHING was going to happen, and didn't blink an eyelash when it did. More than likely Cheney was fully aware and in fact part of the operation, along with a few other high ranking members of the administration.

That is simply an observation of what they did AFTER the attacks to stifle any sort of real investigation of what happened.

In regards to 9/11 the authority is the television set, in terms of Creationism the authority is the pastor at the pulpit. Scientific principles and logical analysis are tossed out the window in either case.

In other words you have no idea of what you're talking about,

It has been suggested that it was fortunate that the WTC did not tip over onto other buildings surrounding the area. There are several points that should be made. First, the building is not solid; it is 95 percent air and, hence, can implode onto itself. Second, there is no lateral load, even the impact of a speeding aircraft, which is sufficient to move the center of gravity one hundred feet to the side such that it is not within the base footprint of the structure.

Had you ever been in the towers? You could feel the sway in the upper floors. This one is the easiest of your rantings to bitch slap. The towers swayed...it 's why lateral support was so important.

You are trying to say that they swayed so much they fell. That is a lie.

You are trying to say by swaying, their center of gravity shifted and they collapsed. That is a lie.

I said that they didn't sway any more so than usual, and since there was only a slight wind that morning, any swaying was minimal. That is a factual observation.

Grow up.

Nope. That is NOT what I am "saying". What I am "saying" has been documented. That the loss of lateral stability that was designed to specifically to mitigate "sway" played a role along heat et al and helped to weaken the trusses.

Ye4t, oddly, you;ve been unable to pinpoint those lies and have told several of your own, e.g, no explosion INSIDE the building...the damage was pinholes...outer wall did not have vertical load responsibilities...the building had no sway...

You love to misrepresent my words and make some up for added effect.

Of course there was an explosion in the building, caused by explosives. Of course the was an initial fireball of jet fuel when the planes struck the towers, the wings carry the fuel and when the wings hit the tanks burst causing MOST of the fuel to ignite OUTSIDE the building. That is obvious from the photos and videos of the impacts.

The exterior walls had relatively minor damage in relation to the overall structure, and would not cause the structure to lose it's ability to support itself.

The outer wall didn't carry the brunt of the vertical load, the core supported MOST of the vertical load of the structure. The outer wall was chiefly to provide lateral support, to stabalize the vertical load, and to allow the building to distribute its load evenly across the entire structure.

If the BOTTOM of the outer wall had been demolished that might have posed a problem, but the relativly minor damage at the upper levels of the building could not and would not cause a collapse.

As far as sway, I've never said it didn't have a slight sway to it. It DID have a slight sway on very windy days, and was designed to do so. YOU however are trying to say it was swaying all over the place on 9/11 and that's what caused it to fall. There was very little wind that day for one, and any sway was minimal.
