623 architectural and engineering professionals have seen through it:

http://www.ae911truth.org/

45 Civil engineers, only one a Phd. Not very impressive since even most small universities graduate more civies than that every semester. Compared the number of CE's there are in the country, it is statistical noise.

The very fact that site counts people with a BS in electrical engineering makes its a joke. I have a BS in EE, and guess what. I'm no where near an expert, and claiming so is extremely unethical. It makes the site a joke.

Demolition without planes and fire would be too obvious an inside job

Of course, you are right about this. After all, there are no Arabs in NYC,and a Arab hanging around parking garages, driving taxi's or rental trucks,or working in building maintenance is so rare it would be sure to set off alarm bells.

Good thinking!

We haven't pulled out of Iraq or Afghanistan yet, so I don't think that anti- war movement was too successful.

I agree with you Former Lurker
Obama has expanded war in Afghanistan, and let CIA start war in Pakistan

if we wanted to end all the wars, we would have had to have gotten Ron Paul in as President
I actually did hope the anti-war right, and the anti-war left, would unite behind a Ron Paul/Dennis Kucinich ticket
but this is not what happened

I don't know about an Armada in the Indian Ocean, care to explain further.

My bad, it was the Gulf of Arabia...

From TIMELINE SURROUNDING SEPTEMBER 11TH -

Sept. 1-10 2001 - In an exercise, called Operation "Swift Sword" and planned for four years, 23,000 British troops are steaming toward Oman. Although the 9-11 attacks caused a hiccup in the deployment, the massive operation was implemented as planned. At the same time two U.S. carrier battle groups arrive on station in the Gulf of Arabia just off the Pakistani coast. Also at the same time, some 17,000 U.S. troops join more than 23,000 NATO troops in Egypt for Operation "Bright Star." All of these forces are in place before the first plane hits the WTC. [Sources: The Guardian; CNN; Fox; The Observer; International Law Professor Francis Boyle, the University of Illinois.]

Not only that, but those same conspiracy theories are LOVED by the government because it allows them to dismiss any questions about their conduct as being linked to "those insane conspiracy freaks".

Instead of helping the cause of freedom, all they are doing in hurting it and helping the government.

AND....it does no good at all to argue with them because they are obsessed with every little detail, and have reams of false "Facts" to back up their arguments. What makes it so hard to argue against any conspiracy theory is that the best ones are all believable because there is a basis in fact to all of them.

I agree which is why it pains me to see you buy the conspiracy theory about Obama being born in Kenya. How much legit criticism is being wasted on that silly theory?

For example *I* am the one that started the conspiracy theory Hillary Clinton being behind the crash of JFK Jr's airplane and his death. I started this rumor on FR and used the fact that he had been talking about running for the same Senate seat ("his" family Senate seat) that she was running for,and this is the reason she had a had the airplane rigged to crash. Within a hour this was accepted as the gospel, and I was being called a DNC shill for saying it was made up,and a liar for saying I was the one who made it up. DESPITE the fact that the proof I was the one who made it up was right there on that very thread!

I can believe it. The same thing happens on FR to this day. On the birth conspiracy, a person will merely guess about something, and then a day later its gospel until proven false. Its interesting to see how conspiracy theories form.

Yes. Harassing Yukon while doing it was just a bonus. There was no need to fill breaking news with bogus insanity if all they had been trying to do was cause Yukon grief. They could have just responded to threads he was posting on.

What better way to crank up the war machine than to rally the peeps with the New Pearl Harbor ? Does the DHS have something on you ?

You don't think having the two towers instantly fall killing 20,000 would have made a good enough cause for war? Plus I would have used Iraqis.

People would have been pissed enough if they didn't fall, and just got hit by planes.

We haven't pulled out of Iraq or Afghanistan yet, so I don't think that anti- war movement was too successful.

It lost them the elections in 2006 and 2008, and will lead to the US slowly leaving Iraq, losing all those precious war contracts.

Besides, the southern border is still wide open. Don't you think they'd close it down REALLY well if they truly DIDN'T want a terror attack to occur on US soil?

Their donors needed the cheap labor. And honestly closing the borders wouldn't have prevented 9-11. They came in on visas. I would have used it as an excuse to close the borders. Though.

It does prove that the threat of terrorism is massively overblown. Al Qaeda is much less powerful than we are led to believe.

(Palo) I am even wondering now if it was our responsibility as posters on the forum to have tried to have done something about it

(litus) It was her responsibility as a website owner/hostess to 1) moderate her website or 2) select others who will.

It became a free for all and joke.

Just like this country is becoming when rules and laws are either selectively enforced or not enforced at all.

Hi Litus
Well Pete said Goldi started new job 6 months ago

she probably was not around LP very much

Oddly enough even on the thread under that very raunchy "article" the disruptor posted in Breaking News
the posts on thread were thoughtful and intelligent
but it made the site look like hell that that was the top post in Breaking News

you can see why if she came home after a long hard day at work and clicked on LP and saw that
it could have been a final straw
because there is no way to actually stop it
if she bans the disruptor, he comes back with another name and does it again
It may be that she is ready to let LP go ?
or maybe she still wants it ?
that's what I mean about straw which broke the camel's back
if she wants to keep LP she will just take a vacation from it
if she wants to end it, she probably won't put it back on line
She has a right to do what is best for herself
