This whole issue is kind of piecemeal and varies over time to address various needs or special cases that arise from time to time. You can't really say that this country has ever had a really unified and consistent template for citizenship or natural-born status.

Yes it has.

Two American parents and on American soil -- simple as that.

This little page has been really helpful sorting out the arguments that have been in play, if you are interested.

Now, they cannot tell you exactly HOW the Towers were brought down only that the catastrophy that we witnessed 9/11 wasn't enough.

If you believe that a 110 story building (make that TWO 110 story buildings) can collapse in slightly more than free fall speed, then you must also believe that the tooth fairy is really the Easter bunny in drag.

"The real deal is this: the ‘royalty’ controlling the court, the ones with the power, the ones with the ability to make a difference, with the ability to change our course, the ones who will live in infamy if we pass the tipping points, are the captains of industry, CEOs in fossil fuel companies such as EXXON/Mobil, automobile manufacturers, utilities, all of the leaders who have placed short-term profit above the fate of the planet and the well-being of our children." - James Hansen

Sun Yat-sen was born on November 12, 1866, to a peasant family in the village of Cuiheng, Xiangshan county , Guangzhou prefecture, Guangdong province (26 km or 16 miles north of Macau), not Hawaii, as this document affirms.

Not really.

No one can prove he was born in China. His official birthplace is Hawaii.

The good news for Yomama is that if you ever get him impeached, convicted and deported is that he can still run for president of China.

Explain why he'd rather expend thousands of dollars hiding his birth certificate, expend thousands of dollars fighting lawsuits, which would all end with a likely $5.00 fee for obtaining and producing a certified copy of his birth certificate?

It is a good way to get the Right fuming over it and discredit themselves with the rest of the public.

Birthers, meet Truthers. Yep, same thing to the general public.

American public opinion is remarkably uniform and the limit of debate is kept extremely narrow when you compare it to other western countries. This did not happen by accident and has been true since the founding of the nation.

That's pretty interesting. You should email that guy and have him clarify that. If you have a source to offer, I would think he would link to it. I've been going through some of his links. So far, only one 1 dead link, but I was able to validate the story (goofy as it sounds: -- 8,000 Beduins stake their claim as the lost tribe of Barack Obama (video)) by finding the same article referenced at about 6 other websites. The only problem was finding the referenced vid. Drat.

The good news for Yomama is that if you ever get him impeached, convicted and deported is that he can still run for president of China.

Well he does have a (half) brother that lives there.

He be da president, whether of America or China or the entire world.

Someday soon, you'll learn that lesson in proper citizenship in a nice FEMA vacation camp. And you'll write letters home praising your camp "counselors" for all they've done to help you grasp these issues.

No,numbnuts, just the religious leaders and their fundie followers. The ones who just happen to be Muslim by birth and not conviction don't hate us.

The problem is they ain't the ones in charge anywhere.

Sadly, this has to be explained to you and 3rd graders.

All they hallmarks of an American ignorant bigot, so typical of citizen who should not have a passport.

Is that a roundabout admission that it wouldn't take hundreds of highly skilled workers several months to rig the towers for demolition?

No,but it wouldn't take hundreds and it wouldn't take several months. It probably would have taken a dozen or so experienced demo men between a couple of days to a week to get it all wired properly.

OR.....a couple of guys with enough C-4 packed into a tractor trailer parked in the basement to send it into low earth orbit.

I posted an objection to an antisemitic thread posted by this Mrs. Yukon.

I used to do that, but then decided to not give those loons the hits on their threads. If nobody ever responded to them they would just go away.

She replied and mentioned something about freedom4um and hinted she was at LP to make trouble.

I doubt that was true. I think "she" was just trying to start a food fight between LP and this forum, to see who would fall for it. She might have been a Leftie, might have been a Klown fallen on hard times.

I think you may be right about that.

I'm digging it to see if he is related to Kevin Bacon.

If so, then perhaps, we can finally toss out anything in the Constitution that has to do with citizenship, loyalies, and so forth. If you are kin to Bacon, you're in. God knows Brock loves pork. (ba-dum-bum). Who needs laws anyhow.

By your own admission you report people for what you discern as anti semetic, this smacks of total censorship

No,posting to a anti-Semitic thread that you don't like the slant is merely expressing your opinion. That's not censorship. It's free speech.

I think most people find those threads to be nothing more than tiresome rants. Object to what somebody does or says, not who they are.

When calling a spade a spade has become something to loathe, it certainly isn't to the discredit of the person stating the obvious or questioning authority. The people who are discredited are the ones who think it's somehow honorable to just shut up and not question fiction.

Anyone who has any sense at all knows that you don't spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to hide a document that you could produce for less than twenty dollars if there wasn't something about it that was either very embarrassing or showed that you were not born where you claimed. Has to be one or the other I would think.

Actually, only the ACTUAL person or a person with power of attorney can "get that".

it's a certification of live birth, as distinguished from a "certificate of live birth" and gives the place of birth as Honolulu, HI.
