Macro insertions. I just type '>>lptable' and it instantly creates a formatted bordered HTML table for me and places my cursor at the correct insertion point. I have a couple blockquote styles too. Just something to create a little visual interest beyond bolding/italics. Since Neil wrote both forums' software, the same stuff works both places.

I've only been here today but so far it seems Birthier, Truthier, and Jewier than LP was. And all of that just on a thread about LP being offline. ;)

It was intended to point out how a thread about LP being down was full of Truther/Birther/Jew material which was completely off-topic. The little smiley was intended to convey light humor, well, obviously not too successfully, at least judging by your reaction.

Well your recollection is faulty. 99.9% of the Ron Paul related posts were made by ANTI Ron Paul posters, whose posts WERE allowed to stand while the few PRO Ron Paul threads were quickly deleted by Goldi.
Goldi would use the ANTI Ron Paul posts as an example of "spam" yet allow those obvious spam posts to stand, right up till the electon.
If it came from a blog and was nothing but pure bullshit, it stayed on LP. If it was a legitimate news article about Ron Paul, it was deleted and the poster would be banned and/or chastised.

Palo,it is true that the mainstream media treated him like he was a social disease,but the truth is he was never going to win to start with,and even if he had of won he would have gotten zero support from the professional pols in either branch of the ruling party. Helping him be successful would have ended their own political careers,and there is no way they would have done this.
Putting a 3rd Party candidate into the White House is a waste of time until there are enough members of congress from the same party as him to provide him with a little support.
I still voted for him,but he had about as much chance of winning the presidency as I did.

That's true,but it's laughable to call either one of them a serious threat to an annointed RINO like McLunatic. Romney had some solid RINO credentials AND presidential hair,so there was a chance he could have beaten McLunatic. The Huckster did a really good job of hiding his true politics by saying all the right things in speeches and interviews,but he never really had a chance with anybody other than those waiting for him to tell them to touch their teebee sets and be healed.
It was obvious early on that only a RINO would get any party support or serious treatment in the press.

NEVER underestimate the power of the FBI and the IRS to dig up blackmail,and the US Justice Department to spin it into criminal charges. If not on the candidate directly,on a close family member. People will do a lot of things to keep themselves or a close relative away from bankruptcy AND criminal court. Even if they charges fail you lose because your reputation is destroyed and you are bankrupt by the time they get done with you.

Thanks...I had read the Home Page but not the other. I had looked for "rules" and just assumed there were few if any.

As I said, I have no issue with rules as long as they are enforced uniformly and not at the whim of the moderator. Lucy the Bat destroyed stolybreath.com and learned a quick lesson in libel back when she started her purges. Bill at Pipebomb destroyed his site - which was very free wheeling - when he decided to innoculate the forum with his political orthodoxy and then began to suffer the same fate as Lucy the Bat in selective enforcement and then totally killed his site when he banned us anti-Booosh's as agit-props. I had a great time there right up until the day I was banned.
LP was a good place until it got ignored which was increasing steadily over the last couple of years. Personally, I ***think*** Goldi had a lot of things happen personally over the last couple of years and that took a lot out of her. Frankly, I like her and I hope all turns out well for her.

Not likely. It could have been anything from getting a questionable zoning exemption to having a child arrested on drug charges.
I have no idea what it was,but look at what they did to Newt based SOLELY on what was supposed to have been nothing more than a minor tax mistake. Even you and I wouldn't have faced criminal charges for something like that,yet it resulted in Newt losing his Speaker position and even his congressional seat. Not only that,but for a couple of years nobody saw or heard from him on any of the tv political talk shows.
Now he is suddenly all over the airwaves again,which tells us that the people who worked so hard to silence him now need him for a PR front effort. Too many conservatives have left the RINO Party after two Boy Jorge terms and an attempted McLunatic term. They need Newt to speak in order to fool people into voting R once again.

Apparently, answering it is impossible for you to explain. It SEEMS JEWIER, and I would like to know how you come to draw that conclusion. Simple.
An example, if I say, it seems cloudier today, the common conclusion might be that I think there were less clouds yesterday. Not that there ARE more, but it SEEMS like more.
So, if it seems Jewier, what is your frame of reference?
